An emotional ride today!
Much needed maybe to see the how short and uncertain life is and how these things are minuscule.
Sai revived Rajeev as predicted and lived up on V's trust on her. She stayed calm and composed when everyone was panicking. She was sensitive to everyone's concern and worries and supported them including V.
Sairat's conversation before bappa - Sai gave him the reassurance that Rajeev will be fine. V cannot keep himself out even in such situations. He taunts her on not keeping the faith and work on their relationship. Unlike V, Sai clearly spoke about her actions and why she took that stand. Unfortunately V can neither direct with his words nor can he understand it (so much for his statements that he like direct talks). Its also ironical how Sai always thinks about everyone and prioritises well, while V always has to connect things to himself. She was so right that a relationship is between 2 people and can’t survive if one is not willing. The efforts have to be two and and the willingness and effort to make it work has to me collective. Here Sai is the only one making the amends while V has not just given up but he is thwarting her efforts as well. He is becoming the barrier himself in the relationship he wants to work. And Sai pointed it out to him. Now with his ego playing devil, not sure if he will acknowledge or accept this fact. His acceptance of his own shortcomings in important for any progress. Sai alone can’t be carrying it on her shoulders.
Sai's conversation with Ashwini was so heart breaking. She was pleading for her forgiveness and love. Ashwini failed miserably at being a mother (to both her son and DIL). She may be emotional, but she is still being so un motherly like. She was looking at V when she says that she will eventually accept her but it will be when the right time comes. If Ashwini is delaying her acceptance for Virat's forgiveness that is simply wrong on her part. She is being selfish. She wants to be in V's good books and get his apology. And she is using Sai as her bait. Pathetic. Just to show that she is not forgiving Sai because she is the culprit and only V has the right to forgive her. Pathetic.
Sairat Convo (2) - It was a very emotional one. V does make it about himself again. He questions if she is seeking his apology at this point despite her making it clear it was not about her. The selfless soul that she is, she is still looking our for him and his family's happiness. In a way it also says that his entire attitude change was around Sai. He may have some amount of anger directed at his family, but it is Sai who holds the key to his entire release. Once he reconciles with Sai nothing else matters. Everything else will fall into place and he will be back being himself. Hence he always picks up him and them at every opportunity even if the conversation is not about them. This conversation is very symbolic of how different they are as individuals. Exactly why Sai doesn’t hold grudges while V does and prolongs his come around phase. Thats where she is more mature than V. Hence she has forgiven and moved on so easily unlike him who is stuck on him. She sees that life is too short to keep sulking and living in the past and hurting ourselves and people when one should make the most the time one has with themselves and with their loved ones. Sai understands the value of family and pain of losing one. She has in a way bared herself out to him. She did call herself an orphan, because his family is his family. Is the Modak in V really listening or really listening? She explains the unpredictability of life and the fact that waiting for right time may result in lost time forever. And the right time may never arrive. It holds true for them as well, but she doesn’t bring that up. Her focus is to reconcile and mend the differences between him and his family. He is listening but how much he has consumed and will reflect on ...time will tell. She also states that it is not just them he is also punishing himself and he will never be able to live till he forgives and forgets.
So many games being played. V playing the sulking, indifferent, rude game. He is wanting attention and confession from Sai. Period. Rest all is inconsequential. Sai is playing the ignore game, to get him to react and also make some effort towards mending their relationship. Ashwini may have portrayed herself as the docile, innocent woman, but she is playing the most shrewd game here. She has given away that she is not completely anti Sai. Her monologues/self talk/dialogues/expressions from the day Sai informed Sai before leaving for college, when V was dragging Sai for her last exam, to their Sairat dance at sangeet, to Sai reviving Rajeev. Every where she is pulling back to prove a point to V. She is his mother and will stand by him. She will not forgive Sai because she hurt him and he hasn’t for forgiven her. She doesn’t want to cross her son and do anything that upsets him. He is too vulnerable and she doesn’t want to take chances (where she could have chosen to make him see things). She also knows that Sai is the only medium to reach to her son and get him back. Hence, she is pushing Sai to her limits denying her any support so that she reaches out for the person who means the most to her. That her tactic. Thats why said she will forgive her in due course of time. It is when V forgives and Sairat reconcile. Her intentions may be good, but her approach is down right cruel. Ashwini abandoned Sai when she needed her the most. And whatever her intentions a mother doesn’t abandon her child and she can never reclaim what she claimed earlier. She may shower love and Sai will willingly receive, but at the end of the day her love is sub standard and not as pure as selfless as she had proclaimed till now.
Precap - I doubt if V really heard Sai's confession. Or will he leave with that look to make Sai go after him?
