RK is definitely a bigger star than Alia, so is Amitabh than Jaya.

When AB married Jaya, she was several magnitudes bigger than him. He became a mega star much later.

It's so weird to say this but I never thought I would see the day Ranbir Kapoor becomes under rated.

People really clinging on to the decade old inter-relationship issues between Deepika just to construct an Image of him and holding onto it desperately.

Ranbir is quite comfortably the best actor among his peers irrespective of the Box office numbers and even in box office numbers he is mighty. His only genuine flop was Besharam and all his other flops like Bombay Velvet were him trying to dip into experimental movies and anytime time he took your usual run off the mill Bollywood formula movies like Ranveer, Tiger and Varun Dhawan does all the time they have been Hits.

He hasn't released a movie since Sanju which was a hit and that was all the way back in 2018. That's a 3 year gap with no movies and no social media presence.

Alia is not bigger than Ranbir in any sense. Difference is she has been more active over the last 5 years and even she has flop movies under her belt along with the hits these past 5 years. Sort of a recency bias.

@ blue......Besharam had an opening of 20 crores back then...with an unknown director ....new actress and no hit songs...the first day is a true testimony of star power...

@red....Sanju was an ATBB...and yes it was a Hirani movie.....but people here were like Hirani is going to have his first flop because of Ranbir...then it was a Ranbir movie ....and when the movie became an ATBB....it was Hiran's movie all of a sudden and Ranbir didn't matter...😆

Yes the actresses could be more successful “Box office” wise at the moment .

But these actresses are not dumb enough to marry a less successful actor out of pure love only.

Either they know that their boyfriend is talented , has made a mark with his acting prowess + successful films and will do well in long term like - Katrina and DP

Or their boyfriends along with talent have a great family lineage + solid surname adding to it a secured financial income so their future will be set like - Abhishek , Saif , Naga Chaitanya, Ranbir etc

Agree completely, either they have married potential actors like Katrina and Deepika where Vicky and Ranveer have potential and do come from sorted families.

Others except Bipasha may have married the actors who are less successful than them but they belong to either rich or powerful families including Jaya where Amitabh may not have been a big name but Harivansh Rai Bachchan certainly was a very big name and were very close to the Gandhi's.

Kareena, Genelia, Samantha, Aishwarya, Alia all have married very famous surname families whether political or filmy

Even for that matter Twinkle married Akshay who was not that famous but definitely rich, he had created quite some wealth and who had potential.

Kajol was not more successful than Ajay (he always had connections and money and consistent hits where producers would back him, only lately he has become more popular but he was always rich).

With Alia she maybe consistently giving more hits and is quite popular but Ranbir is definitely way more richer and more connected than her.

Yes , Ajay also comes from a secure film family . His father was a very famous action director or something.
