This is Manish Malhotra's favorite muse! He designed clothes for her at Alia's wedding.

Deepika and Katrina, from those ads you posted, are outsiders. There must be a reason Manish is happy to clothe them but not Yami, right?

Either it's he doesn't see her as successful, or he doesn't like her.

Either way, it's not a nepo debate or an insider-outsider debate.

And yes, unlaunched star kids do seem to have a fan following. if someone wanted to clothe Taimur for a kids' fashion line, that would be a business decision, too.

But than how are Sara and Jhanvi or unlaunched star kids successful? Remember Katrina also had the huge backing of Salman Khan early on?

Do they have more of a fan following than someone who has starred in several successful films?

Deepika, katrina and priyanka were not labled B listers because of their association with certain people. They are insiders as much as shahrukh khan and akshaykumar are NOW due to bejng part of the same cabal who controls bollywood

Yami is still considered outsider seeing how she is treated by likes of MM and that biatch anupama or whatever from Film companion.

Deepika was launched by Farah Khan and Sharukh Khan. Katrina was launched by Akshay and then went under Salman. Priyanka was miss world.

Yami has never being invited to big Bollywood or networking parties. Invitation to these parties make and break you.

They have their parents' last names. Audience therefore watches them. Yami might not like it, but those are the facts of life.

So what if Katrina had backing of Salman? She's still an outsider. That is the argument here in favor of Yami, right? Outsider vs insider?

Also, Kangana got clothed by Manish, too.

So why not Yami? Not because she's an outsider for sure.

Reading reviews for Bala and other films I see a completely different story

"Coming back to the performances, while Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar are convincing as their characters (although in Bhumi’s case, the layers of make-up to make her skin dark was a bit of a distraction at first), for me, it was Yami Gautam who stole the talented duo’s thunder with her act as the insecure and ‘innocently’ vain Pari."

Once again why isnt the audience watching them more than Yami?

Also Yami debuted years after Katrina, Deepika and Kangana. Let's compare her to people in her competition. Many would have agreed nepotism promotion and outsider lock out in the industry wasnt as strong back then.

Kareena, Alia and even Deepika have stopped promoting fairness cream. Finally they have came to senses. But Yami only promotes fair and lovely. People should see dark is beautiful campaign. It will make Yami supporters to understand something.

See the obvious conclusion to your argument would be Manish is chopping off his own feet by declining to clothe someone who is successful, ie Yami, when he has clothed Kangana, Deepika, Priyanka, Katrina.

Possibilities.

1) He's nuts

2) He's not a good businessman

3) He doesn't personally like Yami.

4) or... Yami is not seen as an A-lister

None of which makes it an insider/outsider debate.
