Look who's shopping!

We caught Mandira Bedi shopping at Gauri Babbar's designer studio on Wednesday evening, trying on outfits for her latest show on Sony, 10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil.

Incidentally, her trademark noodle-strap blouses weren't part of the ensemble; guess Mandira's on her way to creating a new fashion trend

I love the frill on this saree. Even the bustier is gorgeous. Unfortunately the colour won't work for screen. It would fall flat. I'd need something brighter, with a little more colour

This is much better. It still has the frill, and the colours are bright, fun and vibrant. This one is a winner

Gauri's helping me drape the saree. If I want to continue wearing sarees, I have to style them differently. Otherwise it gets boring. Play around with how you wear a saree and it will look great each time

I am excited about this. The clothes look fabulous. I've been working all night. We've been shooting episodes back to back. We finished our schedule for Fame Gurukul and I got on this show immediately. Once I am done with this, I am going to take a long vacation

I love this outfit. It just all fell into place. The corsett blouse is supposed to be teamed with a saree I tried on, and I wore the skirt under the saree — though it looked great as a stand alone. We put them all together and it looked gorgeous. I happened to be wearing the necklace (its mine) when I walked in here, and it just works so beautifully with the outfit. I think I am going to wear it for the next episode we are shooting. I don't even need to alter anything

Though I like the saree, the colour is too pale for television. It won't stand out at all — it'll look like a white saree with brown patches

I have never worn a top like this before, but it looks great. It's really slimming and stylish. I didn't think the gold belt would work with my body frame— but it looks terrific

If I had the legs for it, this is exactly the skirt I would pick up for myself

10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil airs Monday through Thursday at 8.30 pm and on Friday at 8 pm on Sony Television

This is what I actually tried on the corsett for. Unfortunately, the saree is a little too simple for television. You have to wear brighter colours with a heavy embellishments for it to show up

thanks for the article!

i really like her in sarees, most of the time. whatever the style is, she can carry em off. but when she tries to wear skirts sumtimes, she just looks too old for em, IMO
