So if there is goos chemistry but the story sucks will you be able to watch?

Ok good point - I feel like I've done that with the odd movie here and there, trying to think of specific examples...

There are some rom-coms I've sat through because the chemistry between the actors made the romance believable even though the plots were ho-hum... This was a few years back so I don't know if I could do that now - I was more of a romantic back then, less of a cynic🤣
