Chapter 12

9:45 am at the breakfast table.

Neil(running): today I am very late. Bhai would have already left and he might be very angry.

Manjari: stop stop stop. Relax and sit down. Abhimanyu and Akshara haven't come down yet.

Neil(spilling the juice from his mouth): what???? How on earth did this happen?

Manjari: my Akshara has done this. Abhimanyu would have had a peaceful sleep after quite some time now.

In the room, Akshara wakes up rubbing her eyes and smiles looking at his face. She turns a bit to check the time but still in his hold.

Akshara: OMG. Are you not going to the office?

Abhimanyu: Akshara let me sleep. I dont know why I am having a peaceful sleep after a longtime and BTW it’s not too late.

Akshara: it’s already 9:45.

Abhimanyu: WTH. How come nobody called for us?

Akshara: that I don't know. You freshen up I will bring your breakfast here only.

He goes to freshen up she takes out his clothes and rushes to the kitchen.

Akshara: maa why didn't anyone wake us. Abhimanyu is late for the office.

Manjari: arre how could I have disturbed you and gives Nimisha a high five.

Akshara blushes and goes to the kitchen. She makes omelette Sandwich and a cup of coffee for him.

Abhimanyu(with tie in his hand): Akshara I am getting late.

Akshara: I am here and here is your coffee.

She makes him wear the tie while he is drinking his coffee.

Akshara: who will eat this sandwich?

She takes it and makes him eat it. Abhimanyu wishes her goodbye and goes downstairs.

Neil:let’s leave. I was waiting for you.

Abhimanyu: you are not going anywhere. You will stay with Nimisha. She needs you.

Neil:but how will you manage everything on your own.

Abhimanyu: I will manage and if there is a problem I will call you.

Nimisha: thankyou bhaiya.

Akshara smiles to herself and feels happy that he remembered what she had asked for.

Akshara: nimisha here take this juice and dry fruit

Nimisha: you know what Di I love you. Come sit and have your breakfast.

Akshara: yes, I will just freshen up.

Nimi: ok

After the breakfast Akshara sits with MIL in the Hall.

Manjari: Akshara I didnt say anything yesterday because of Nimisha but you know na Abhimanyu is a changed person now and if he gets to know anything about Kalyani Ji (Nimisha's mother), he will be upset.

Akshara: maa why are you worried? When he didn't find out anything in the past year so now also he won't find out anything.

Neil:but bhabhi I am not getting a good feeling this time.

Akshara: relax, it’s just a matter of 2, 3, days.

Kalyani Aggarwal (from the door): no madam it’s not a matter of 2 3 days. I will stay here till Nimisha's pregnancy and I will take care of her myself because here everybody is concerned about you only.

Akshara: Arre aunty ji please come inside (takes her blessings, but she steps back). You might be tired, come I will take you toyour room.

Just then Akshara's phone starts ringing, it's Abhimanyu and meanwhile Neil takes his MIL to the room.

Abhimanyu: hello Akshara, I forgot to tell you that Kalyani aunty is coming today.

Akshara: yes she has already arrived but how do you know.

Abhimanyu: actually she called in the morning and said she couldn't get a flight, then I arranged ticket for her.

Akshara: ok. Bye.

Akshara goes to nimisha to give her something to eat.

Akshara: nimi get up and have something. You didn't eat anything after lunch.

Nimisha :di I am not feeling hungry.

Kalyani: there is no need for you Akshara to give her anything. I am here for her to take care of her only. Give me the tray. And takes the tray from Akshara. Akshara leaves.

Nimi: maa why do you bother Di so much?

Kalyani: what did I do? I came here only for you. Ok leave all this tell me why hasn't Neil gone to office.

Nimisha: Neil will stay with me only till my pregnancy. Bhaiya said so. You behave so badly with Di but she still thinks about me. She only talked to Bhaiya about this.

Kalyani: what??? Ok you eat this I will be back. She goes to Akshara. Wow Akshara, I am impressed you played so well to keep my son in law away from the business.

Akshara: what are you saying? Why will I do this? What will I get from all this?

Kalyani: because you thought that Nimisha is giving heir to this family and you can't do this since Abhimanyu doesn't have time to even look at you. So you thought of ousting Neil from the business. But now I am here and I won't let this happens.She leaves.

At night Akshara is waiting for Abhimanyu at the dining table.

Abhimanyu(shaking her a bit): why are sleeping on the dining table?

Akshara: you freshen up I will serve you dinner.

Abhimanyu: I already had my dinner.

Akshara(feeling bad): ok you go I will put this back.

He goes up changes and sees Akshara is sitting on the bed. He leaves the room.

Akshara: where are you going?

Abhimanyu: I will be back. You sit.

After sometime when he doesn't come back. She opens the door to go find him but he enters with a tray.

Abhimanyu: come sit down.

Akshara: whats all this?

Abhimanyu: dinner which you didn't have because of me.

Akshara: how do you.....

Abhimanyu(puts a finger on her lips): I am sorry I made you wait but I honestly forgot that you would be waiting. And I promise that this won't happen ever again.

Akshara(removing his finger): thats ok but who told you that I haven't done my dinner.

Abhimanyu: I know I am dumb but not to this extent that I would believe you were waiting for me after having your dinner. I mean obviously you were waiting for me because you didn't have your dinner. Ok leave all this, have this or else I will have to warm it up again.

Akshara is about to eat but he stops her. He takes the spoon and himself feeds her. Akshara has tears in her eyes. Abhimanyu wipes them.

Abhimanyu: what happened, are you okay?

Akshara: yes I am fine. Just can't believe all this. It all seems to be a dream.

Abhimanyu: I had told you I will make up for every memory that we have lost in the past one year. Come on now let’s finish this.

Akshara: show me your hand. I will change your dressing.

Abhimanyu: it’s fine. There is no need to change it.

Akshara(opening his bandage): you keep quite. Why do you have to put yourself through so much pain?

Abhimanyu(pulling her cheek): I don’t have any pain compared to the way you are reacting.

Akshara: you keep quite. You do not care about yourself.

After that they both sleep. But in the middle of the night Abhimanyu's phone starts ringing.

Akshara: who is calling at this time?

Abhimanyu: hello Neil what happened? Is Nimisha fine?

Neil:you please come downstairs along with Bhabhi.

Abhimanyu& Akshara run downstairs. They see Nimisha is constantly vomitting. Akshara goes to help her. Abhimanyu holds Neil. Everyone in the house wakes up.

Kalyani: what happened to my Nimisha?

Abhimanyu: don’t worry aunty Akshara is with her.

Kalyani: what will she do? And moves towards the washroom.

Manjari: Neil is Nimi fine?

Abhimanyu: yes maa Akshara is with her.

Just then Kalyani pushes Akshara out of the washroom and before Abhimanyu could process anything she hits her head on the table.

Abhimanyu(holds her): Akshara are you fine?

Akshara: I just slipped when I was leaving the washroom.

Abhimanyu: see its bleeding.

Akshara: I am fine.

Manjari: take her Abhimanyu, Nimi is fine now.

Abhimanyu(takes her and makes her sit on the bed): can't you walk properly?

Akshara: it’s nothing, I am fine. Relax.

Abhimanyu(wiping away the blood): do you care about yourself ever?

Akshara: ouchhh, Abhimanyu aaram se.

Abhimanyu(blowing on her wound): wait what did you say?

Akshara: what?

Abhimanyu: you called me by my name.

Akshara: so what? You didn't like it?

Abhimanyu: ofcourse I liked it. You should do that. It feels good. Come let’s sleep now.

Akshara: I will check Nimi once.

Abhimanyu: I will call Neil.

Akshara: no I will go. I will be back in a minute.

Neil: bhabhi are you fine? I hope you weren't hurt much.

Akshara: no I am fine. Howz Nimisha?

Neil:she is fine and slept. Bhabhi whatever happened, I hope mummyji isn't involved in that.

Akshara: it’s nothing like that Neil. Go sleep now.

Abhimanyu: you are back? Come sleep now.

And they both sleep. Akshara thinks about whatever happened in the washroom.
