Charity and protesting

Are those things anyone is into ?

Incredibly socially conscious in that aspect. Charity is a big thing for me. I attend protests if I feel very strongly about the cause. But charity is a definite must.

protests no. some people I know landed up in prison and have a criminal record due to this which I think is better to avoid.

Just being conscious is a big thing for me

I talk a lot about social issues on twitter, facebook, whatsapp, forums, with my mates, folks. I criticize everything and everyone, everywhere. But I have never even thought about participating in actual charity, protests, voting, social drives, programmes, health camps, social volunteering. Nothing.

Yes, I am an on-street activist/campaigner. The organization which I volunteer collaborating with multiple charities and grassroots organizations around the world. I spend my time and money on it (such an irony since I have been accused of being a paid shill 😬).

I don't have any problem with slacktivism, sometimes it does help a lot to get more attention to the issues. But most of the one who preaches a lot in SM rarely comes for help in person or otherwise when we actually need it. 🤷‍♀️

Extremely. I'm super charitable. In fact, I am the most charitable person on IF and on earth. I only know how to give. Giving is one of my many good qualities. And my best quality is that I'm just super humble. I never brag about it.

It might sound ridiculous but the stuff everyone is talking about/reposting about on Insta/discussing on Twitter, I won’t generally join the bandwagon. Not because I don’t think the causes are worthy, just that they already have enough media hype on them. Generally find it more useful to share resources or consider protesting about things which receive little to no media attention. And when it comes to charity - the finance nerd in me always checks the % of the donation actually going to the recipient. Some charities are notorious for gobbling up half the donation in just “admin fees”.🙄
