If you look into the economics of all this...the answer lies within that. Manikarnika still has the bigger opening though.

MK had 100% Occupancy(pre-covid era), no restrictions, still hardly manage to get a 7.60 Cr opening day, while GK has got 9.50 cr opening on 50% Occupancy(Covid time), at a time when ppl are still hesitant to go to cinema halls.

MK has 39.51 Cr opening weekend, while Gangu fetched 37.50, which is REMARKABLE if you ask Trade ppl.
