India edged a thrilling victory in the previous match against the West Indies as they ran out eight runs to seal the series win, but they will now be eager to secure a whitewash in this final clash.

Rishabh Pant was excellent as he whacked an unbeaten 52 from 28 deliveries to help India to 186/5 before the bowling unit did its job to hold off a valiant run chase from the Windies.

West Indies fell narrowly short in their quest to chase down 187 for the win in the second game of their T20i series with India and they have only pride at stake in this third and final contest.

Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell were excellent as they combined for a 100-run partnership with both scoring into the 60s and that pair will need to be at their best again if they are to topple the Indians.

India was given a scare in their second matchup against West Indies but did enough to keep their opponents at bay to secure the series.

The whitewash will now be in their sights as they look to wrap the series up in style but the Windies will have other ideas having pushed the hosts so close in game two.

It was an enthralling contest thanks to some brilliant batting from the tourists and while they can go close again, India should have enough quality with bat and ball to secure a 3-0 series success.

India has won eight IT20 matches in a row and looks very confident every time they go onto the pitch. It would be a big surprise if they did not win this match.

West Indies have lost every game on this tour but they have not been completely outplayed in each game. After losing by only 8 runs on Friday, they will fancy their chances ahead of this fixture.

West Indies have found dealing with Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Bishnoi extremely difficult and we don't expect that to change here as well

Both teams have chosen to field first after winning the toss in the series. We predict that whichever skipper wins the toss they will insert the opposition.

It will be a cloudy evening in Kolkata with a slight chance of thunderstorms as the game progresses.

Virat Kohli- the all-format star batter hit 7 fours and 1 six in Friday’s victory and looks to be not too far away from his best at the moment.

Rishabh Pant- the keeper-batter thrashed 52 runs from 28 balls in the second IT20. His innings included 7 fours and 1 six.

Ravi Bishnoi- the young spinner has caught the eye in both games in this series. He dismissed opener Brandon King and took 1-30 on Friday.

Nicholas Pooran- the keeper vice-captain has hit 123 runs in the series and struck 5 fours alongside 3 sixes on Friday.

Rovman Powell- the middle order batter has grown his reputation during 2021-22 with fine performances in the Abu Dhabi T10 as well as for his country.

Roston Chase- the batting all-rounder’s bowling is well suited to this Kolkata pitch and picked up the wickets of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav on Friday.

West Indies will be determined to win this game and not end the tour empty-handed. However, India has been very strong during the IT20 series and will fancy their chances of getting another 3-0 score. Let us hope for another close game and with India winning again.

A curve ball by Rohit Sharma after the toss: Feels good to bat first given that we did well in the last game. We have some guys missing. We have four changes: Virat, Bhuvi. Pant and Chahal miss out. Avesh Khan makes his debut. Ruturaj and Ishan will open the batting.

Deep Dasgupta and Ajit Agarkar say that the pitch has a few more bare patches. Agarkar thinks the bowlers might have to work hard. Again, the dew remains a factor - especially with Kolkata only slowly slipping away from winter - and again the team winning the toss should look to chase.

India will have new opening pair in the third T20I as Ishan Kishan will be opening with Ruturaj Gaikwad.
