See, this is part of what I find so off-putting about Abhimanyu as a character. You want your lead to be a late 30s surgeon, fine. He's never been in love before, that's fine too (a little implausible but whatever). But falling in love shouldn't obliterate one's inherent values and sensibilities like this when you're close to middle age no? Shouldn't someone with his backstory act with more dignity and gravitas? True.. That's the worst.. If they wanted to sell to a certain age-group they shouldn't have made him that age.. His being a doctor and having issues with his family could also have been kept with a younger surgeon who could have been brilliant even if not so experienced.
