I feel both actions were deliberate. Before this haldi application, there was another scene were she reaches her hand towards his face then takes it back. Then she does the drama of putting her haldi coated hands on the face of rest of the family, goes spinnind around and slaps haldi on Purab... You could almost see her slowing down her action to make it a tap rather than a full blown hit on the face.

Anjali slipping was of course delberate... You can See the calculating expression on Taps, the shaking of her hand to make haldi fall in the way of Anjali so that she slips😆
