Actually, with the whole rejection drama, they can possibly be creating the opening point to go back to Malini's offer to Aryan in the initial days. So Aryan and Malini shake hands because tumhe Imlie mein interest hain aur mujhe usmein koi interest nahin.

I think she was genuinely hurt for Aryan being rude to her baki to kal dekhte hain. Iske baad definitely Aryan clear kar lega that he was tricking M & they may go ahead with the love drama.
