But jokes apart.

He did initially go there (Imlie's college) on his sister's request and then he had to wait for her, when Imlie was muddying his car. The Dean of Imlie's college was all praises for Imlie plus I believe Aryan was grateful to Imlie despite his grumbling because she saved his sister's life. So, when he saw his car, it might have all fallen in place. He wanted to teach her a lesson due to the mess his car had to go through and to do that he needed authority. And maybe at the back of his mind, his sister's gratefulness and the Dean's words were hovering. So it would have been a win-win situation, if she could endure the lesson he gave, she would be an intern which Bhaskar Times also needed if I am correct since one intern was said to be missing/absent. He would get a scholar intern which means Imlie was smart, his sister would back off and maybe they would gain an asset (ASR is a businessman after all) Otherwise, he thought Imlie would get her due lesson so he would have had zero losses from either side.

Well whatever his intentions, the internship might just have been the best thing in Imlie's life as of then and now. So glad that Aryan did corner her for whatever reasons.
