Protocols that are in place for fair play. Like I cant go to give neet/jee exam wearing a full lenghth salwar kameez covering my face under the pretext of #mychoice .No that is not how it works. All these high level exam have certain rules so malpractice can be avoided . So that a fair exam can be conducted. Same is true for educational institution . We cant be sure who exactly is behind that hijab .Not everything is #mychoice . If once actually thinks about this issue objectively BI you would notice that turban and hijab are not the same

You’re talking about a Burqa or Niqaab. Hijab doesn’t cover the face at all.

Don't be like Priyanka Vadra Gandhi please.

I'm talking about the concept of women empowerment since the debate shifted from classrooms entirely onto hijab. Try to follow along

What does hijab have to do with education? You are only covering your head with it.

Banning hijab is empowerment.

Banning hijab somehow means proper education.

hijab only covers the head. You're confusing Niqaab with hijab. Both turban and hijab are head coverings.

It’s shifting too fast to keep up. My boss keeps giving me the dirties so I’ve resorted to hiding my phone underneath the desk. 🥲

Nope from beginning I'm debating about Hijab in classroom. No concern about an Adult woman wearing hijab or not according to her choice.

Because beaches don't have uniforms.

If it’s a choice then:

1. why are there so many horror stories of women facing severe punishments sometimes even death, for not wearing a Hijab? Can the empowered and educated women answer this?

2.And since you are so sure about it being a choice, then how come those who are upset/offended about some place in India- not raising their voices for these poor souls and against their oppressors?

You were quite vocal about eradicating Kanyadaan in the Manyavar thread. This thread has become about Hijab now. So what are your views on eradicating that symbol of patriarchy? Or is it that your comfort zone extends to 1 religion only?

Also, which school girl have you seen wearing sindhoor & mangalsutra ? If you have, kindly complain to the police as child marriage is illegal in India. If you are talking about educators or office women, you have diverted the topic from uniforms to people who aren't required to wear uniforms to begin with.

Seeing your selective view, let me tell you that just like women who have worn Hijab have achieved great things in life, so have women who have had KanyaDaan done. Like many women don't see Hijab as oppressive, so do many women not see KanyaDaan as oppressive.

And I'm telling you that a woman that wears hijab can't just take it off one day and wear it the next day. When a woman decide to START parda is her choice, but the idea is to do it everyday. You can't just wear it in classroom and not outside. You don't understand the concept at all
