It's not a remake. They've just borrowed the title. Although this same team was supposed to make a remake of original BMCM along with Akshay and Varun in place of Tiger.

But that project was shelved when Varun opted out, and a new script was written but the title was kept. Otherwise imagine Tiger trying to copy Govinda, let alone doing comedy or even act? Even he knows he's not capable of doing it and would just make a mockery of himself.

Bullshit.

I am fed up of remakes. And it makes no sense to remake 90s films that are so recent and play on TV every day.

I hated Coolie no.1 remake too. And I cannot imagine anyone else except Govinda and Amitabh in Bade Miya Chhote Miyan.

Tiger or Akshay Are NOT even toenail of Govinda or Amitabh.

Akshay may have good comic timing but he is nowhere near Govinda in comic timing or dance. Period.

Why are Bollywood filmmakers so creatively bankrupt?

I hope it flops.

Tiger was decent as usual but Akshay isn't really made for such movies. The moment I heard his dialogue delivery and lazy voice it diluted the effect of the action shown in the starting. Sometimes these people really show villians like zombies with guns no aim and only the heroes win.

@bold Precisely, one fails to take him seriously because of his voice, no offence. He can't do the out-and-out alpha male characters.

Akshay has been looking and sounding lazy since he came on KWK with Ranveer and pretended to have the same energy as Ranveer. I think he has some kind of complex after that episode
