2000, 2008, 2012, 2018, and now 2022 - the five Under-19 World Cups that India has won and no other team has won this more than thrice. The youthful energy is on the show out there. Sure coach Kanitkar is not stopping them. The Indian camp is all smiles. Credit to England for pushing India deep.

England won the toss, made the call to bat, but the Indian bowlers ran in and bowled tight to force false shots. England was tottering at 61/6 at one stage, but it took a gutsy effort from James Rew to both counterattack and anchor the innings coming in at 4. He shared a 93-run stand with Sales but was cruelly dismissed five short of a deserved hundred. But Raj Bawa went on to record the best ever bowling figures in a U19 WC final. 👏

Kanitkar, India coach: We were looking to bat first as well. But there was some moisture so we thought to make use of that. He has a good head on his shoulders (Dhull). It's a fabulous competition getting this stage to perform, to showcase talent.
