Yup. Of course he is angry and upset because of society, and he also wants to protect his daughters. But, ego has a huge role to play too. Not just for him, but every single one of the characters. Yesterday we saw Mahima saying it's part of her plan to bring Akshu as the Birla bahu. All of them have ulterior motives driven by personal gain, but when it comes down to it, they love each other deeply too. When 3 are dropped down as Arohi on one side and abhira in another side others pawns too changed the direction .all are right in their place and doing justice as abhira are wrong . Definitely. But, I think that process has already started. He was taken aback for a moment when Abhi held his ears and folded his hands before he dragged Akshu away. He refused to sit on his bike, but Abhi still found a way to bring him home. These little details are slowly softening him. And on the other side, Akshu is winning him back over too. He was not expecting her to actually quit, but she did. Even when she put the slip saying sorry in his food, he looked like he wanted to melt. He is on his way to accepting Abhira....and little moments like this will push him further and further... but there has to be some catalyst ultimately to push him over the edge... most likely Abhi saving the family name if the MD kaand comes out or something along those lines...
