pretty much sums up how I feel. I think the Shah-Kapadia equation doesn’t need to be further muddled and twisted. Samar is a good son but as a lover… I don’t know. SaNan track has been put to the side and Nandini falls so flat. The chemistry btwn them also does give little to spark imagination recently. SaNan feels less like a relationship of preference and more like a “it is what it is” thing. Perhaps the best point of their relationship was Samar quietly pining for Nandu and the first few of their dance sequences.

as for Samar’s outburst … I think given his age and inexperience in having relationships …. I think he’s justified to feel frustrated by Nandini being influenced by Kavya. Kavya is selfish and always worried about herself. Nandini has never said anything other than “I want to keep this family together,” “I want to live with this family,” “I aspire to be like Anu and I won’t ever do something to cause tension.” Where is this Nandu? It might be even more frustrating for Samar because he went against a majority of his family in order to support Nandini, her inability to have children, and eventually said she shouldn’t be judged by her past. His mother, who, he worships, put herself on the chopping board to support SaNan and Nandini. Their relationship feels skewed to where Samar is more giving and has more to lose. Mostly, they let the characters Nandini, Toshu, Kinjal, and kavya go to the wayside. It’s hard to see the story in their eyes bc they’ve become passive spectators and sparingly utilized

As for the age difference btwn Mukku and Samar, some age difference romances are done so nicely but I don’t think that’s a track I wish to see. Somehow, Shahs have had very unique love situations … AnuRaj and the VanYa affair, Samar with a slightly older Nandini who brought to light fertility & past relationship issues, Toshu and Nandini with a class difference and running away shaadi, VanYa remarriages, and the MaAn track where the hope of soulmates and the innate human desire for true love is given shape.

I’m done seeing the Shahs being the most unique group. I want to see Mukku address her issues and perhaps provide an argument for “needing someone” or marriage isn’t always end game. It can just be a part of a journey but not a definitive moment in our lives. As it is, we can’t appreciate what we have or is being gifted to us, if we can’t appreciate and love ourselves.

Ali, LOL I get your drift (& pre-Anuj.. I was only for the compassionate non-toxic rugged male …& while I still am attracted to men like that I think Anuj & them have something in common. Empathic with big-D energy. I guess that’s maturity on my part 🤣)

Unfortunately, I don’t see V being the Dom to Aneri’s Sub 🤣 Physicality wise, he might seem stable, supportive, and sturdy but mentally he has no strength of character

There must be a reason why they had Anu tell Mukku and Anuj how she caught V and L red-handed. Either it's meant to to be a subtle cautionary tale for her, i.e. avoid getting involved with V or it's hinting towards her falling for another abusive man, i.e. V.

Mukku is 5-6 yrs older than Samar its clear and she is older than Nandini. BIG NO. Just because she is a new girl in show she has to be paired up and that too with Anu's sons NONSENSE.

Anuj is my type in real life tbh. I dont mean the money. lol. Brown, glasses, religious, smart, caring, family-oriented = . bad boys were never my thing.

we needed someone to fantasize over on this show and Anuj is just that. the only time i feel a bit of anything for Vanraj is when i see how fiercely protective he is towards his parents + kids. especially his kids. the fact that he would kill for them is absolutely a turn on. everything else 🤢

They both have that B-d energy...altho when it comes to putting it down, I see Vanraj as someone who is a selfish lover and Anuj is probably very giving in 🛌.i doubt Anupamaa has ever had an _____. that scene in the first or second epi where Devika asks Anuj if he didnt meet anyone in all of those years and he was like "come on" and gestures to himself up and down said a lot. 🤣 or the scene where he glares at that man who made fun of Anupamaa and his jaw was all clenched. 🥵i love that aside from the softness, he has that side of him that comes out when needed...not unbridled like Vanraj.

its kinda strange when you stop and look at it, cuz ultimately they are similar characters with different variables. Both completely devoted to their family. If Anuj's parents didnt die, maybe he wouldve ended up in an unhappy loveless marriage as well. Vanraj always had his parents hanging over his head which is why he ended up where he was and even today his first thought is his parents then his kids.

i want to think that maybe a woman could come along and change Vanraj, the right woman...probably not gonna be Mukku but they would make for an interesting pair for sure. maybe he needs someone who is domineering like him so he can chill out a bit. i deflee see him as completely done with Kavya, there is nothing to resurrect there so im really interested to see if they are gonna angle for something between Vanraj-Mukku. i dont think they are soul-mates or anything but i see that something could develop there. not sure if the PH will go there tho knowing how he treats women and how she has been treated by men.
