She said they had to give up on signing HC because he was too good looking for that particular dark and brooding role. The fact is that character Mritunjay was accused of rape in that show Ek Boond Ishq.

And there's an interview of HC in May 2013 where he says he has reached the stage where he can say no to projects if he doesn't like them. He also says that he has now decided to do only shows that he likes and where the story is meaningful. This show that Saba talked about came in Aug/Sept 2013. He also rejected Chanchan on Sony TV with Sanaya Irani around April/May 2013.

2013 was a time he wanted to take a break due to his mother's illness too. He must have rejected Ek Boond Ishq because the character was accused of rape.

His show with sanaya was called Meenu mausi right? It got shelved after the pilot shoot.

2013 he lost his mom. So he was not working.

Yes, meenu mausi with Sanaya came in 2016 but got shelved.

But in 2013, SBS reported that he was offered Chanchan (which came on Sony tv in 2013) but he said no. And SBS news is correct most of the time.

I read all your messages on the AT today. Dont think of quitting. See everyone has opinions. Its just that the opinions are getting a bit too much on the negative side now. People are bashing his character for the slighest of reasons. Sometimes Abhimanyu does behave irrational, but this time he is correct. Aksara ko he is giving the taste of her own medicine. To make her realize how hurt he is.
