Yes,that is the main point of contention b/w them.

But then why to propose. Karan should then let things be as it is. If he admits that he loves her but cant be with her then that is cruel. Why reiterate the same thing and cause more hurt

Abhi he just told her his reasons for not ever falling in love so she understood that he may never allow love to be in his life. Toh woh thoda different ho jaaya hai phir bhi.

@bold, I agree. They are trying to bring all those twists which I don't like, par ITV shows par bahut chalta hain.

They can run the show longer by again introducing misunderstanding track, some shaadi drama or separation track.
