No... his misunderstanding doesn't start there. It goes back all the way to Malini wala drama. He didn't trust Imlie then... he doesn't trust her now (with Aryan). The kind of things he’s said to her are down right disgusting and pathetic. A public character assassination of the woman you claim to love!? Who does that????

The man is down right toxic, Imlie is at this moment hurt and emotionally vulnerable… maybe the message would have sent her running back to him but that would be so damaging to her in the long run. Aditya is bad news for her… and she needs to stay away.

Plus even if Imlie had read the message.. She should then decide to go to him. Maybe she would have done that also… then she has to actually reach there but AC locked her so even if she read the message there was no stopping him.
