If he seriously wanted to pursue Imlie again, he would put an end to the wedding for good and go find Imlie and not rest till he had convinced her. Here, he was just fooling himself. One more step to reinforce to his own self that he was right and Imlie was wrong and that he is the eternal victim.

Adi and Imlie, while running for the last ditch effort have both forgotten that Malini was the root of the problem and she would continue to be so because neither did Aditya have the courage to show her the door and nor would Imlie be okay with living with her in the same house again, and they would be back to square one.

Yeah true. Actually the problem stands unresolved. Even we have forgotten it. Thank for reminding it. Imlie can never be happy until Adi cuts all ties with Malini irrespective of baby is really or fake. Or Malini should be dead. ( I am sorry even to talk about a fictional character like this). There is no way out other than this. It is good that some solution has born out of Adi’s impulsiveness.
