Malini constantly manipulates their greed for the baby to stay in his life. They don't let her leave.

It's clearly the responsibility of the 19 yo who isn't qualified to be a psychiatrist to cure the trauma of a 35 yo man who refuses to believe her because true love and whatnot

I only feel bad that imlie lost her sister for whom she was ready to sacrifice all her happiness....

I never saw Malini's 180° coming ever (maybe I'm not that observant)

But it could be justified by her family background.

I feel really sad for Imlie because she truly loved Malini, even more than she loved Aditya. She kept out hope till the day she actually turned a criminal.

Malini's 180° turn wasn't at all planned, and it can't be justified at all. But the subsequent writing and obsession with Imlie explains her derangement. Which again is not a defence.

It's again about choices... She had the choice to be better too but chose to believe that she must have what she wants everyone else be damned.

Also I always thought why Anu wouldn't divorce dev but reading your narrative, it makes sense, she would take it has a defeat from meethi!

Another thing I feel sad about in this whole business is that kid (if it exists)

Because that's another malini in the making.

Right? And she was trying to be a better person too. I think she would have not become completely unhinged if she had any real-world experience with struggle and pain. She has only seen unhappiness due to her parents' bad marriage which gets compensated by fulfilling her every whim. Aditya became her latest toy who was to cure her sadness. Truly deranged.

I just feel bad how the Tripathis, Chaturvedis, and Malini are obsessed with the baby without giving two hoots about it.

Exactly I wanted to say because what kind of dysfunction family would it be raised in?

Wouldn't it have questions about the relationship of its own parents and compare it with his peers?

How will they answer it's questions about all these relationships?

You know what? Malini wouldn't care if the baby lives or dies once she's married to Aditya. 🤢

Everyone one is using that baby to meet their own ends.

Okay your post was so lovely that I ventured outside my safe sound for the first time. 🤗

You captured the complexity of emotions. Of mother and daughter and between "sisters" as well.

Anu's brainwashing matters. And you can see Malini try to live up to an ideal only to crack because she truly isn't that giving person. She was also asked to forgive the unforgivable. What Aditya did to her is beyond horrible and I think it's why he lets her get away with so much. Even the unforgivable.

Such toxicity,
