No kidding eh? It was intense. She was so mad she almost gave it away. If Aditya only sat and thought about it for like 1 minute he'd realize what she said.

I also felt bad for her when she and Anu were talking before Dev made an entry. "I'm not this person". She's fully aware of what she's done to get to this place. It's psychotic, made no less psychotic by us understanding all the experiences that have led her to his. But somehow I feel sympathy. In a way, her actions will lead Imlie to a better life. She herself will never have a better life though. She's just come too far down the path of destruction.

I never saw Malini's 180° coming ever (maybe I'm not that observant)

But it could be justified by her family background.

While I agree with most of what in this thread that Bluegrass has logically penned down..a lot of us viewers clearly saw how manipulative Malini was from the beginning. She was aware of everything that was happening and manipulated everyone by being sickly sweet to garner love by fostering guilt. Adi has been emotionally blackmailed by a master who learnt it from her mother from her cradle. I am not defending Adi here - he is being a jerk - but just like Malini becoming a rapist was something that may have happened circumstantially, so is Adi partially for being conditioned by 7 years of emotional blackmail and manipulation.

But imagine taking seven years well into your thirties to realise the difference between attraction and love. Imagine marrying someone without telling them that you have another woman socially, if not legally, attached to you. Imagine keeping both the women in the same house — one as a wife and another as a servant just to leave one for the other Par kucch bhi defend kiya ja sakta hai.

What Malini did was a crime—————equation 1

Aditya has been emotionally abusive to both the women from the beginning till Malini turns into a criminal ——————— equation 2

Both the equations are true but unrelated.

One more equation

Malini is partially responsible for Aditya's actions since she has been subtly emotionally blackmailing him for 7 years showing him a face that was not real but contrived and developed to hold his attention (same interests, same thinking, preferences, etc) and Adi let himself be manipulated as she fed his ego and work was his first priority. Adi is a mini Malini because of this. - equation 3

That's my problem with Aditya partially. Kisi ki bhi baat pe ludhak jaata hai. It shouldn't have taken him seven years to realise that pyaar nahi hai. All she'd known from her childhood was emotional manipulation. She wanted a better life for herself and she tried by being however Aditya and his family wanted her to be. All she was trading in were ideas and images.

I don't think her becoming a rapist is circumstantial; it's not something that can be explained away.

She really tried to be better, you know? Aditya shattered all her ideas and dreams in one second. He really could have told her the truth from the very beginning or any time in their seven-year long courtship. He indulged her instead of confronting the bitter truth. He led her on for seven years and for what? She could have been with someone else and been happy elsewhere. So, she really went : all my goodness and putting up with a middle-class lifestyle for what? What did I really get out of playing this role for so long? That was the moment she completely gave into AC's manipulative upbringing. She could have chosen to be a better person even then, but we know how that went.

And, honestly, the idea of dating a friend's ex is so repulsive let alone a sister's ex. Like she said in the latest episode, Aditya indulges both women as per his mood. He really expected her to remain his best friend or whatever after telling her that he's in love with her sister. Colossal idiot who can't think beyond his own feelings. Yes, Malini uses guilt to manipulate people, but maybe Aditya should also have had a shred of introspection, consideration, and shame.

Now, it's all moot, because Malini has completely destroyed herself in her indignation. And she would make Aditya's life even worse because she has finally realised that he still does not consider her feelings/pain/social security.

That maybe true but nothing absolves Aditya for hiding the truth from her. "She fainted"/"Imlie asked him not to do so" are not valid excuses.

How is he an adult in his thirties if he can't take a single firm decision? Sorry, but no.

No excuses agreed...but I could somehow see his side of the story then. He did not want to rock the boat because he did not consider the marriage to Imlie legal or valid or ever thought would have relevance in his life and thought he could save his family and fiancé the same shock and pain he went through by completely hiding it and getting Imlie to leave.

He is still paying for his mistake and for me - once someone acknowledges their mistake and tries to make significant recompense - no sense in bring ing it all out again.

For me his initial mistakes were wrong - but he has paid for them with SK burial, confession etc.

Now let's focus on the other mistakes he has made - distrust of someone he promised to love and trust, putting GD over love,,,and all the kaands after he told the truth about Imlie. These he has to pay for and likely will. If they can show an Adi who is punished and can show that these events have changed him from who he currently is .. and should similar situations happen in the future he will not repeat his same mistakes...then at that time maybe I'll consider Adilie again. We don't love based on people's characteristics or flaws...but we have to worthy of the partner.

The fact that his own mistakes pushed Imlie to Aryan and took away from him his love and the ability to do what he wanted most - mentor her is suitable punishment for him. With Malini now controlling him - his punishment is not minimal. Makers have ensured that everyone except Malini gets their dues. I hope and trust they have something as nasty prepared for Malini their golden girl as well.

You know even though I bash the writers - in the long run they sometimes manage to surprise us. Thats what keeps us from leaving. Imlie still has the best dialogue writing even though the story is sadistic. I hope they do something like that today.

While I am primarily an Adilie fan - right now time is just not right for them and Aryan Imlie scenes though cliched are done well and I find them entertaining - so I'm going to watch to see how the makers take this forward. 100% Adilie is end game but I really don't mind an Aryan detour - at the least I get tassalli that Adi got a dose of his own medicine.

I feel sorry for Aryan who these folks will eventually butcher. /but at least we can enjoy the ride.

That is true. Makers do surprise us lot of times. It is really hectic to write for a daily soap. Constantly you need to be on your toes. The drama factor has to be there in each episode so that the audience will come for the next episode. My complain is they should have added a lot of light hearted scenes along with negativity. If that would have been the case people would not have been disheartened like this. We need to wait for a good Adile scene for months together. That is not the cas with the the rest of the shows if am not wrong. The makers went terribly wrong there.

Agreed but we still don't want to watch those light hearted shows. These guys know what they are doing..I don't like all the negativity either but I do know everyone is not hooked to the show only because of summer. They have a strategy that is working on a certain segment of people who are overly addicted to the show and cannot seem to detach and go and watch the other light hearted shows. Maybe the sadist show is attracting a whole bunch of masochists like us :) 🤣
