Have to agree!! This thread is a goldmine and I've been chuckling away!!

Ekta's shows that featured Harshad were rare uncut diamonds with the right kind of polish.

He is one of the few actor who managed to get work and shows produced by top production houses. However the scripts lacked substance.

Yrkkh is one of the biggest disappointment wrt to story and a set back for those Hcians who saw him in content rich dailies.

In comparison BP with its flaws had a story.

There were plenty of articles floating around that many actors rejected the role. HC wasn't the first choice. Harshad himself mentioned in an iv that he wants to maintain his bank balance and that is why took up work. Ami trivedi also spoke on the same lines.

He does not seem emotionally attached to Yrkkh like Bepannaah.

BUT yahan dodno ek dusre se pyaar karte hain...she knows it...she emitionally blackmails akshu to say NO to abbhi otherise she will leave....takes the credt of saving him by lying...emotionally tellinh akshu to keep quite and let her take credit....forces akshu to tell her family that she does not like abhi...forces the family to agree to her marriage with abhi....accepts abhis proposal where he says he loves akshu only...and to top it up...aks akshu for her ideas and help with all the celebrations....

Gotta respect that - this is their profession and both are doing a really good job of the acting. Not their fault the writing is crappy. I am thinking of watching Tere Liye (I think Ekta show? normally I avoid hers...) because HC character there is a good one and storyline is also supposed to be good.

He cannot use his handsome noggin to put one logical thought into place. He has seen Aarohi vent on Akshu on more than one occasion, he has seen how pushy and self-obsessed she is. He himself can't stand her. He is making insanely impulsive decisions. A successful surgeon in his 30s telling his parents he will marry anyone - really? Anyone? One ad and hundreds of eligible PR-suitable lady doctors in India would have been lining up to impress Papa Birla to get their shot! But sure, marry the one woman who will ensure he is never rid of Akshara.... (this is nothing new - used to be the Goenka's couldn't find anyone to marry who wasn't a Singhania. Now obviously the Birlas will look no further than the Goenkas for their matrimonial choices)

He's beating up strangers and breaking public property - why he's not in prison on assault and battery is anyone's guess...

He rage-eats an entire box of mithai and regurgitates bad 90s songs - inspired by him even I have been binging on my roommate's ice cream in irritation at this show

He's so out of it, he even showers with a towel on😳🤣

To heck with Abhi - till the writers come to their senses it's time to get my HC fix by revisiting his older shows. As for the writers, the usual hacks like Dimri and Bhavna aside, did this new lady writer really tweet she didn't cast HC in her show because he wasn't dark and brooding enough? Um, take a look in the dictionary under 'dark and brooding' and you'll find a picture of Sahir Azim Chaudhry🤔

Hopes are fading that these jokers will do any justice to Abhi's character anytime soon...

i think that’s my whole issue with the show is that this supposedly brilliant doctor is too dumb to understand Akshu and have hormones and emotions like a 13 year old boy having his crush…he’s behaving like an idiot with no common sense.

And yes he will marry anyone and his dad suggests the sister of the girl Harsh himself can’t stand. How did they even get that Birla hospital started and running seeing they have 3 brain cells in between them. To think Mahima who is supposed The negative sister, has the most common sense (whatever her reasons may be).

Talk about butchering a character like a bakri on eid 👺

Agree - RS was smart to pick a known face and name after going with newbies for the earlier seasons. Lots of us came running (or running back) to this show just for HC. He has that star power (and I dunno, maybe bills to pay... he hasnt been on tv for years). It's obvious he's giving it 100% as usual but it's been hard to watch. Besides the dumb storyline, instead of relying on his talent and charisma, they are doing annoying things like the weird sound effects around his dialogues (that lion's roar makes me cringe, is the intensity of his acting not enough to convey the anger??) and making him do a backflip when he gains consciousness after being injured in a fire🤔

Maybe it's just me but it's getting a little uncomfortable seeing the constant objectification of his bod (droolworthy tho it is). My friend suggested if we take shots everytime he is shirtless we're all going to end up drunk by the end of some episodes. Sometimes it works (and also it is kinda his trademark since he buffed up) but it's starting to feel a little sleazy like those gross 90s wet white sari movie shots...

Yes , I agree HC is objectified here very badly ( not tat i feel too bad abt it 😆) still it feels absolutely useless with the creepy storyline which they r now dishing us .. Proposing to the other sister when the one who you love rejects and not behaving ethical or even close to what profession he is portraying on screen was such a let down for me 🥺

I didn't expect this much bad writing from a DKP show while the other one "Anupama" ML Anuj is such a nice and strongly written character of recent time who i absolutely adore to watch HC has chosen wrong this time (very badly indeed ) like you mentioned earlier to clear bills or something 😆

I haven't seen Ichche Nodee. I googled it and it sounds awful - if that's where yrkkh is going, looks like I'll be checking out for good.

I wish HC could be in a show like Dhadkan where he could have played a doctor who is a proper three dimensional character. Or one of the Hindi shows on Netflix or Prime. Even Raghav in Mehndi would have suited him more. I guess there's a prestige factor to act in YRKKH because of how long it has managed to run, but this is such a letdown from his previous two roles.

Are you sure he could pull off the typical Hyderabadi South Indian accent? Sai Ketan Rao is a Andhraite. He had that inbuilt swag and pre requisites for the role.

All said Raghav is special and very dear to me. One of the most flawed, arrogant, toxic, brutal and at the same time loveable character.

As far as Yrkkh is concerned I am watching because HC gave some fantastic performances in his previous shows.

I'm somewhat kidding - I did not watch all of Mehndi but i like Sai Ketan Rao, he's very good in the role (both leads are very attractive and good together). My point was more that surely there were other better roles going on daily soaps for HC (wishful thinking...).

Yes I wonder why - Rohit Purohit (whom I LOVED in Razia Sultan) also is picky and lucked out with Dhadkan. HC is a better actor I think. I didn't know that he is against digital platforms - seems oldfashioned, that's the future of good shows everywhere. In the US, even regular channels have digital platforms because those shows tend to be more popular and most of my NRI friends watch the Netflix/Amazon Indian shows (Im that weird one hold out who still gravitates to ITV shows for some nostalgia).

I agree with this also - unless there is some improvement in the quality of writing, I suspect HC is not going to be enough to keep fans engaged.

Abhi never had it after he met Akshi.
