Abhimanyu- A Man of Character (Analysis)

I am an Abhira fan.

Unlike many I do not take sides. After all the Abhi bashing, rants and jokes I heard past weekend. I had to put my thoughts down in words.

Abhimanyu character is just as strong and determined as we hve been promised from the beginning. The fellow never fell in love in his life because he does not believe in commitment and marriage. Then Akshara happened to him. He literally seeks her out but he pursued her because she showed interest in him too. She asked him in sign language how her song was and when he replied in sign language, she rolled her eyes at him. These are flirtation signs. She did not have to turn back and tell her brother that she will boil methi dana and give Abhi a 3sec stare but she did and he caught it.

He knew the game was on and they were equal partners in it. But every time he came near her to confess she got scare because it was too soon for her or she was not sure. But for Abhimanyu who listens to his heart when it comes to relationships simply dived in head first.

And our Handsome boy is still doing exactly that. -

Now to the current scenario-

Abhi is not shown thinking about Arohi at all. The creatives are being very clear that he is puzzled at why within 2 days suddenly Arohi keeps coming up in front of him. That his mother asked him to think about her. And now his father has sent her to the camp when her name is not on the list. Isnt a smart man going to give this turn of events a thought? Why all of a sudden this person is in front of him when he is already in a disturbed state because of his failed attempts at love and the last conversation he has with his mother.

He is trying to move on but he does not want to. Isnt that obvious?

When he sees Arohi in the camp more than surprised he is irritated. He is trying to be cordial to her because he saw her in the temple praying for his mother.

Isn't Abhimanyu's stand clear to you the way he addressed Arohi not to come into his house because this is not the right time. His tone made is very clear I thought. In fact Neil is being much more softer to Arohi because she saved his bro.

And it's shown that Abhimanyu feels that Ak was around him when he was in the fire. He had a memory of who it was and he knows it was Ak. Then everyone outside said that Arohi helped him he was quick to thank her because he has always been like that. He has been shown to thank her at every step- 1 when he thought she made Ak help him in the case. 2. when he saw her take the puja thaal in the temple. 3. When he realized it was probably her who saved his life.

Abhi just came out of the fire, as soon as he regained his breathing, the first words he uttered was where is Akshara? What other proof does one need for his love for Akshara.

How strong Abimanyu is evident when in his anguish also cannot believe that Ak does not care if he lives or dies. And when he closes his eyes the first thing he realises is that Akshara was the one with him in the fire saving him.

But his head is muddled because he does not know which one to trust the one that his heart is telling him- the one he saw in his unconscious state or the one that he saw and heard when he regained consciousness.

He keeps repeating why do I feel you were there around me. And keeping his anger, hurt and ego aside he calls Akshara. And what does Ak do she once again crushes his hopes.

How much more can this beautiful soul bear?

What else does anyone want from Abhimanyu. Till now he is a dream man that every girl desires.

I was upset with Abhi that he immediately gave the entire credit to Arohi, started thinking about or rather started changing his thoughts on her after talking to his mom. Initially, she was only the sister of his lover nothing more nothing less. When he started thinking about her good deeds, it somewhere is not going good. I agree we have gratitude towards people who helped us and in this case saved his life (like he presumes it to be).

But all my questions were answered today. He did sense Akshara and his monologue that why am I nothing in your eyes not even existing hurted me the most. Let me not be the love, we cannot be friends anymore least we could be acquaintances and that’s what he expected from her after the KOI BHI kaand and that too she had crushed. Seriously, my heart goes out to him. I know he is yet to learn in love as now he is all possessive and desperate for her.
They are going to make one rocking combination when Abhi gets to know the amount of love she has for him.
The real confession and confrontation is still to be done.

He is not butchered in any way! He has been consistent and has valid reasons for his actions & reactions as per his character, flaws, what he knows and situations. I feel the same for Akshu as well. Both are beautifully written.

Minus the ITV-ness I love both of them and find most of the character's actions reasonable as per what they know and how they are. Ye,s some have made stupid decisions but IRL mein hote hain aise log and aise react bhi karte hain😆

Ok let me try to explain. You are right Abhi can feel Akshu, he knows she was around him. THEN WHY THE HELL IS HE ALWAYS SO QUICK TO GIVE AROHI CREDIT!
And after the tribunal he got angry with Akshu for said koi bhi. But Akshu never told him she did this because of Arohi. Why then did he thank Arohi? Why did he give her the credit and thank her?

Why was he constantly in his mind shifting between the two sisters when he arrived at the camp. I can’t forget it.
If he could feel Akshu then why did he assume it was Arohi. He fed Arohi the right the claim it was her.

I think he loves Akshu so much and is so used to getting what he wants that he is making mistakes in his frustration at Akshu for not choosing him. Akshu is also confusing him.

i wanted to give this leap a shot only for harshad.what a bad decision it was.👎🏼sorry abimanyu turns out to be loud,aggressive,immatured,self centered and obssessive lover.he least bother about what akshara wants.he couldnt accept her rejection.usko male ego hurt hua hey.he may be a successful doctur but pesonally failed miserably👎🏼

i loved him in bepannah.this show sucks.why does he always has to scream? and what the f&**# is music given for him,whenever he comes in the screen.i hate it.meraey kaan saey koon aati hey.aisaey loud creepy background music ahows kaey villain ko bhi nahi detaey.🤢👎🏼

Music you mean when he puts his headphones on? That sound is white noise only for audience for we are not told what he listens to ever.

We have never been told his fav song. We know is mom's fav though.

I agree with u.. I have been saying this and will say this here again.. This man is head over heels in love with Akshara.. He will not think abt anyone else. He shares his prbs with his mother, his mother tries to solve his prbs but gives him wrong suggestions.. He might think abt it but will not agree to it. As he is a man of strong character... Lots nd lots of love to u Abhimanyu... Stay strong for few more days and u will get your love..

So happy to know you. I feel I am always alone in defending Abhimanyu.

I have seen the episodes so manytime to find a character flaw in him but I can not, He is Human and he reacts like one very sane, level headed human being. Everytime he gets upset... he takes his time then responds to it.

He is a man who believes only on logic and proof. Akshara comes and messes up with his whole thought process and senses. He is shocked to realize that she can literally sense what he is thinking in his head. How can one not pay attention to such a girl?

Now life is giving him proof that Arohi helped him and his mother is asking him to think about her.

what does a sane man of logic do? He keeps quiet and gives it a thought.
