Apple Music India has recently added a new playlist called Bollywood in Spatial Audio. The songs in this playlist have been mixed according to the new Lossless sound technology.

The songs are from mainly the 2000-present era and from different composers and it looks like they got the rights of mainly YRF films.

However, the only songs from the 90s which aren't belonging to YRF are Aye Mere Humsafar, Papa Kehtein Hai and Sheher Ki Ladki. And I mean the original tracks have been used, these are not remixes.

whatever personal preferences ae mere humsafar good song but not the best from udit's library udit had sung similar kind of songs many times

Udit became the first fresh male singer for Bollywood after decades. He had the hero's voice and there is a reason why the audience accepted him with open arms. He has sung all kinds of songs from all kinds of genres.

Are you even serious? 😆

The entire album of QSQT was one of a kind!

Aye Mere Humsafar has to be one of the most romantic songs of Bollywood. Simplicity at its best.

Similar songs na...find me one song with that tabla ka chaati and dholak ka rhythm. Nahi milega.

Oh please!

QSQT is listed among 100 greatest albums of all time by Planet Bollywood.

It's songs were both popular and critically acclaimed.

Papa kehte hain continued to be played at farewell parties at school and colleges even till 2000s.

QSQT is the film which catapulted Udit and Alka to the top and especially benefitted Alka as she climbed up the ladder from being just another one of new singers in 80s.

Udit has remained voice of Aamir Khan for more than a decade. He also scored voice of SRK.

By no means is he a limited singer. He has hits in all genres and still sounds fresh, youthful for his age.

Udit is an ORIGINAL voice BTW. He was never a wannabe Kishore Kumar like Sanu and Abhijeet or a duplicate of Rafi like Sonu. His voice quality is entirely fresh, original unlike other singers.

Udit's one Ae Ajnabi from Dil se is enough to give many singers of today a run for their money.

Absolutely.

I am not sure where I read the following or maybe saw it in an interview or heard it in a radio byte but:

Do you know that distributers at the time were't willing to release the film because they thought "music thanda hai". They wanted Mansoor Khan to redo the songs and get another composer duo. RD Burman was the only one who said "iss music ko chalne se koi nahi rok sakta hai". Mansoor however stuck his ground. Nasir sahab later released the film on his own and the result is out for the world to see. This album was T-Series's first hit as well.

Aamir Khan and Javed Akhtar had an altercation with PKH as an example because of the Copyright Bill. Aamir was against it and said music directors and lyricists do nothing to make the song work (typical actor narcissism). And this is what happened:

It was just too much for the legendary poet-lyricist Javed Akhtar to take, and it soon became a war of words between him and Aamir. Says an eyewitness, “Aamir made it clear that he felt a song becomes a hit because it is picturised on a big star. To this Javed saab asked him, ‘Your first big song was Papa kehte hain. Did it make you a star or did you make that a song run?’”
