I think what John is saying is different....He is talking about cruelty to animals...of course when any animal becomes a menace to humans/otheranimals....they have to be put down....but that also can be done kindly....let us not forget that animals....don't conspire...they don't connive.....when they kill ...it is because of hunger or some other issues.....I really don't understand...how can someone be cruel to animals and kill them for entertainment.....like people shoot animals for fun...its allowed here in USA....like what the actual F?? what kind of a person would kill a living being for fun?? I do not understand such people...If I know them....I would stay away from them......So let us not mix up the 2 issues.....they are different.....putting animals to sleep(if its the last resort) in a way that doesn't hurt them...vs....cruelty to animals just for fun...entertainment...making videos...the latter are the scums on earth....🤢

When there is a conversation about a bigger problem/evil, you don’t bring these kind of anomalies into it. It’s like men whining about ‘their rights’ whenever there is a conversation about Female rights and lack there of.

There are various problems and John has addressed one of them. Not all problems will have the same solution but its a step towards becoming more kind.

I am actually surprised seeing certain comments in this thread and that's why I refrained from replying.

Animal cruelty makes me recoil too. I have memories from when I was little, there was this classmate of mine who used to enjoy kicking dogs and stomp on injured birds, watch bugs suffer, etc. Pretty sure he's a fully grown psychopath hiding in plain sight now. People who mistreat animals who can't strike back are the lowest scum on earth.

Yes, They say people who are cruel to animals for fun in childhood grow up to be psychopaths and even serial killers

I saw a video on youtube where a person was cooking a live squid. Even after cooking the squid was still alive.

Then saw a video of Sadhguru where he was saying that plants and tress to feel the same pain as butchered animals. They can't speak and scream.

Even if there’s confusion then eating plants directly rather than feeding them to animals and then killing those animals for flesh requires far fewer plants and doesn’t hurt animals who we already know for sure feel pain.
