Suddenly forum is very active.

Regarding Arunitha in my opinion that's the best decision. She is 18, why does she have to agree for romancing or exposing herself when her goal was to become a singer not a romantic heroine. Octopus doesn't have much scope in my opinion. We should not bother about losing such projects. She will get her opportunities and do well without Octopus too. I told this for SMP before she is doing right thing by staying away from Octopus and I stay by my opinion for Arunitha too. Anything they do in careers should bring them respect from fans and family. If both are unhappy they are doing wrong. Bollywood doesn't have really good name interms of girls so Arunitha being strong is really good sign. I appreciate her for being courageous. It's ok people who want her talent will give her opportunities.

If Arunita or her family is uncomfortable than that's all that really matters. There's no point for us to speculate. Maybe Octopus should have thought more before they decided to make the whole music series around the romance between two contestants one of whom is barely even an adult.

Well said. My sense is that the mood of the Idols is shifting to Arunita's side and Octopus may have to change plans about using them in future videos.
My understanding is that Arunita really had to be strong because the pressure was tremendous. I think that is admirable.

True - regional industry can only throw up 1 or 2 stars that can get national fame - only Bollywood can do that. If they choose to focus on regional industry they are severely limiting their scope.

I remember Aishwarya and Anwesha too - you could just not choose which of the two was better, and they were both superlative. Well if it was Shreya's rise then, it's bollywood's transformation time now..kuch bhi ho sakta hai.

If we take Shreya as n example, we never see her promoting her movie songs in any language..she promotes only those songs that feature her..

Onus of promoting film music is on the movie makers..and they don't do much of that now.

Does Sooryavanshi have songs? I haven't heard yet..but m sure it has.

Aru doesn't have to be next Lata or next Shreya, she has to carve her own niche..and she is fully capable.

In a way old gen was lucky..they had few needs and few choices..apna kaam achhe se karo, paisa lo, ghar jaao.. this gen has to pick n choose very carefully

I hope that whatever this issue is, it has not caused a rift between Pawandeep and Ashish who seemed to be very good friends. I am now reminded of Rock On - how a misunderstanding / lack of communication between two friends led to the end of the band and a break of friendship for decades.

Ashish's list of "following" on IG doesn't currently have Raj Surani, Octopus, Sayli. I don't know personally whether he used to follow them earlier, but apparently fans on IG are claiming that he has unfollowed all of them yesterday. I haven't been on IG fan pages since yesterday but this is what I read on this forum - I believe Moonandstars abhis945007 posted that. (Edited to correct the name of the poster)

So if that is correct, that he unfollowed them, then something may have happened.
