And nothing will change. 'Women empowerment' is a just a tag they use to bring in a wider set of audience and make their show popular. At the end of the day Anupama is an Indian Soap which airs on prime-time and just like every other Indian soap, the only thing that the writers are concerned about are ensuring their show remains on air by garnering high TRPs. Content, logic and common sense be damned.
I had given up watching Indian soaps due to the regressive content and nonsensical rinse and repeat formula. This is the first India soap that piqued my interest after many years and of course, Gaurav signing on as Anuj was the final push I needed to give the show a go. But the way they continue to butcher the plot and characters for TRPs and then try to make up for it by throwing the occasional bone to MaAn fans by adding random scenes is disappointing to say the least and frankly isn't worth me wasting 20 minutes of my day.
So I have decided to drop by occasionally for the fan fictions but I am pretty much done with the show.
