I don’t think so he is class conscious. But he does have little bit arrogance that nobody will be able to see Imlie from his nazariya. That arrogance will be broken when Aryan will fall for Imlie for the person she is. As far as his actions being different with SK and Ac, for him even to show his anger he needs to feel the apnapan. He feels the right to get angry with SK and Imlie. Whereas AC or Malini doesn’t exists for him.

I think this point of Adi being classist is raised only because he wanted to send SK to jail for committing crime (which was correct) but he hasn't not bashed AC properly even once. She also committed a crime then why different treatment for her, unless she also gets the previlege of 7 saal ka rishta.

And I am not bashing you Midnight.. i wanted to make the thread on this but then I just gave up cos the mahol around here… I have stopped coming to forum.. but this has been discussed time n time again.. that AKT is classist…

classist by definition is someone who treats people differently on how they look, what they wear if it’s not up to his: her class.. a very good example of that is Anu Chaturvedi. She calls imlie naukarani and SK criminal..

Coming to Aditya.. he is the same guy who fell in love with a girl for her morals! Not looks, not how polished she was but just that she was class apart from her contemporaries just by the way she was thinking about issues..

He was the same guy who lectured his parents that so what if imlie does house work.. she does it with utmost perfection.. so why is she treated less than anyone else..

He was the same guy who shouted at his then wife because she got imlie to her classist moms house n in process imlie got humiliated…

He was the only one standing up to Anu when mithi was working at her house like a maid…

just because right now he is not able to understand where he is going wrong.. and mind you he is trying.. and he will keep on trying to resolve the situation.. he didn’t walk away.. he is termed classist

Coming to Yesterday’s episode.. I will be honest I have only seen the clip with Chai vendor… it was mere different perspective.. why there r less women in corporate workforce or in general workforce?

Where the Tea vendors story could give us reason how education and perspective change how we look at life.. and how we should address this gap..
The corporation CEO would have given a perspective that how do you climb ladders when the deck is set against you.. there is no right or wrong here.. it’s just different POV..

I know I will be getting flak for this.. but when Imlie said she wants to do it her way.. Aditya backed off.. gave her chance.. be it right or wrong.. her decisions.. he is respectful of her wishes still.. even when she burned down the MS and wiped down her sindoor..

On the other hand she mixed her personal and professional life in the interview.. trying to justify whatever she has done till date is right because Trust.. the very thing which is extremely situational.. and it’s not me who said it.. it’s imlie.. when they had their first argument after Kamra ghusai.. “kuch cheejo mein toh hum apne aapse jyada aap or bharosa karta hai”.. kuch chije.. Trust is fluid.. it changes as the situation changes.. it can’t be used as a blanket term!

So to sum up.. he is not classist.. he never was and he never will be.. people are upset with him and I am one of them but I can’t just shove everything he ever did for imlie under the rug Cos that would be injustice to the character…

I disagree with you here Goddy ji, cuz he didn't feel any apnapan while he lashed out at the warden, did he?

And actually, they exist to him. M is his gehri dost who will stay in his life and Imlie has to accept it, remember?

MM.. one thing I can say is that akt has been the only one till date who has never considered anyone below him. He fell in love with imlie as it is . Like he told her fancy clothes and adornments do not make the man cos that is something that can be taken away. It’s the person that matters and let’s not forget that he has always been her biggest proponent in her journey knowing how much potential she has irregardless of her background . In fact all this just makes him love and admire her even more that she has fought all odds to get here and let’s face it he has never given the same iota of respect to ac mc that he has given imlie and even meethi: his respect for meethi is unrivalled when compared to ac and he has blasted ac for illtreathing meethi and the way he accepted the same pd ppl when he went to see inlie ans took them out to eat on his own free Will shows he is anything but

So calling him classist is just going against the basic trait of his character. Sorry ma’am… he has always considered with pure heart the Pd folks as his family, never been ashamed of them and always fought with anyone including his own parents when they were throwing around the naukrani tag. He even accepted sundar as his brother in front of ac cause he knows the man that sundar is and not his position. There are lots of examples of what he has done to showcase this and nothing that is going on today makes me even have an iota of doubt that akt could be classist. His issue with sk is a diff matter but it has nothing to do with classism . Sorry MM
