The last two Basketball matches have spawned many new tactics and strategies, and they have been quite different, simply because the conditions in opposite teams kept.
As the 3rd BB version nears, I was sure we are going to see yet another approach. Each game will have an individual flavour because of the diverse additions of two new players, Rahul and muskaan from Patiala ,Shubhankar now focusing on Keerti ,a lady so unfortunate to have the same dress in every BB match , cut-paste options unwisely used (c'mon they can't fool us there,can they? we have been watching each epi at least 1000 times!)and absence of drooling Sapna over Shubhanker ,plus the different levels of humidity and moisture because actors were weak in health,The reason could be the sea food diet or apparently turning out of irregular jogging sessions .But the disappointment continues as they choose to use exactly the same strategies and tricks they have been applying from last 3 matches.Some novelty would far more be appreciated.
Of course, a major rule change will test coaches, captains and players affect totals on certain surfaces. The rule is 'the beauty'.The one dribbler an over law will create a new dimension with at her fine straight, silky,brushing hair over another player .Thanks to the hairspray that helped the girls team by being non-allergic to one player and allergic to another tht he had to sneeze and then forcefully roll on a surface so frictionless. (Ahh..I need to learn tht Art ASAP!..or else my to-be-BF whoever he will b is gonna complain for not learning something excessively significant in life) Umpiring, too was lacking(Sapna the ultimate umprire), apart from decision-making, the umpires would have to judge if the girls were in a model-like standing position and looking at a proper 45 degree angle along with giving 'some looks' hard to figure out at times.
Of course, the new technology, 'Switch', immediately tells that the pattern , how should the boys fall for the girls, has been there since past a month roughly with RM having exactly the same scenes as AR just with a different music and faces. How Unfamiliar !!
Where is the pitch and what difference does it make?
The Pitch, at a large expense of creatives in India, is at a high altitude and embraces the colourful walls by Sanjeevani . The pitch favours rolling when dry, colorful as ever during Holi and full of strawberry juice during the street-fighting season . The Challenge does not make too much of a difference. In Steve Waugh's words, "it is just a way to start a game".
The conditions will affect boys team, as the rarefied atmosphere will leave them short of breath as it will the girls' hair and wind kissing around their faces with all that love and affection. I suspect, though, that the general fitness of all the sides will ensure that they cope with the conditions. Boys will be able to extract extra bounce being fallen of by those pushes and girls will have to play off by giving those doses of touchy touchy hair sprinklers every now and then in order to score points. The main criterion is to not play straight and distract the boys with the 'heavenly beauty' you have been gifted.
As the pitch gets older, there is another factor that may make a big difference. The number of rolling rounds may decrease with all upcoming BB episodes because the effect is seen today with less rolling rounds in RM scenes. Though the reason could be the lack of experience or not as much as AR but it has turned so friction full that Rahul had to force himself to roll with Muskaan. Armaan stayed harder in the beginning and this led to the emergence of players like Ridhima, who make a lot of baskets at the end, which was the general pattern of all the matches so far.
The 'Basket' restrictions will mean that teams will have to take advantage of the first 15 balls and then maintain the 'drool', because the Zulf tends to go soft and make it harder at the end. Saying that, the length of background musics may keep the dribbling ball with Riddhima and Muskaan for longer period.(I need to learn the whole process badly, I tell ya man!)
The wind direction can dictate who the to be slave is. Also, all other unslanting, unbouncy and rough pitches nationally as well as internationally make life difficult.
Likewise, in Port Elizabeth, when the wind comes over the scoreboard, then, for no apparent reason, batting suddenly becomes difficult.(this relates to cricket)
The teams might experience some quite spectacular thunderstorms, and the current heavy rains may well be Kabab-mein-haddis for 1st dates as RM might soon plan to have one in the same pitch (considering the pattern).Though, their favourite place, store room ,could be better as it can also help the peon (wht was his name?I forgot, the guy in khaki...) get some bonus salary. Date ki date aur salary ki salary *toin..toin**praful style*
One thing is certain, the challenge may well be very important in some of the games as they might lead to various things like accusations, slavery, getting back the purana Armaan
Will this be the match where pitch advantage means success?
