I think what happened was that, they actually brought Disaster in between.
As Chaubeys love EMA, so they showed kiss, hug and nonsense.
But they didn't expected ki people will go against it. I think they convientely forgot that PS is not about a Couple rather a family show which has couples.
So they thought like other triangle shows they can too increase TRP.
As someone rightly said 3rd angle wasn't forced in any show they were from starting and was part of main star cast but it isn't same with PS.
Fans were ok with Anita bcoz she did stupid things, and never went physical with Gaumbi rather she only dreams about it. & Most importantly they have shown Gaura being in love and trusting each other ki Anita ka chance he kabhi nahi tha.
No one ever took her as 3rd angle but was there for comedy.
So after Dishwasher ka kiss and they did ridiculous Ramleela, things went out of control.
That they needed to start editing Disaster ke clips.
Now when TRP has fallen soo much and if it falls further, they need to wrap up Disaster ka track pretty soon.
So they will show Disu being a part of Suman ka plan to play cupid for their story. In that way Suman will be whitewashed, Disu ke saath Raavi ka repeat nahi hoga, so in makers ka twisted brain Shiva 2.0 still would be better than Dev.
As it is all Raavi's fault so Raavi will clear the mess say sorry to everyone, and specially thank Suman and Disu for enlightening her by abusing her and mentally and emotionally harrasing her.
In that way reverse psychology is shown.
But if TRP Audience ne hume dhoka diya toh things will go further than engagement.
Otherwise Disaster ka track Engagement wale din khatam ho jaega.
