Which actress's era did you like the best?

For me it's Rani-Preity-Ash era, and it's mostly purely because I was really into Bollywood back then. After that I kinda lost interest in Bollywood and watch a film only now and then (though still love this forum). And I also like KK, PC and Vidya a lot too (in fact moreso than PZ and Ash), but I like the Rani-Preity era more because of my memories of those times when I was crazily into Bollywood.

Late 90s are my favorite, because so much was going on in terms of "female talent" in Bollywood at that time. Too bad NONE of them survived for the longer run, except Kajol (thanks to her connections), Aishwarya (to an extent till 2010) and Tabu (who seems to be omnipresent in all these "eras"😆).

So in late 90s, Madhuri/Juhi were still popular & doing films.

Kajol rose to prominence with both critical & commercially successful films . Her lack of conventional looks/dancing skills worked in her favor that led to her establishing her own fanbase.👍🏼

Karisma & Urmila who were gradually getting popular from mid 90s with their films, as well as their physical transformations from their early 90s looks.👏

Pooja Bhatt was relevant.

The likes of Manisha, Raveena started declining in popularity as so many young girls took over.

Rani became the "Khandala" girl.

Preeti became the Dimples's girl.

Mahima Chaudhary had a good, brief stint to with Pardes, Dil Kya Kare, Dhadkan etc.

Even Twinkle Khanna got decent film offers and grabbed attention for some time.

Aishwarya, a household name due to her Miss World win, knocked it out of the park with Taal, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Mohabatein and Josh.👏

Oops! Did I just trigger Aishwarya hate-bots on this forum? Bhagoooo... 😆

Sorry guys, I am not her fan but I give credit where it's due.👍🏼

Samee pinch

I never followed Ash and PZ but always loved loved Rani onscreen and whenever I see songs of those era it’s so nostalgic❤️

My liking towards Bollywood has drastically reduced now,but still songs of that era still are so lovely to hear and listen to now compared to today

This poll and answer choice seems made for me lol so I think my choice is obvious.

I am likely biased since the 2000s is the era I was growing up in so that will always represent Bollywood to me. And that period is epitomized with Rani and Preity as box office queens and even though Aishwarya was not granted the same opportunity to work with the Khans, she remained relevant and kept up her image as a major star. Notice the three actresses chosen to headline the top row of the magazine cover...

I also want to give a shoutout to Ameesha Patel whose career sadly fizzled out after a while but in the early 2000s, she was major competition and should be remembered.

But I also love many of the 90s actresses like Juhi, Karishma, Urmila, Manisha, Tabu, etc. so the 90s would be my close 2nd favorite era.

Up till the 2000s. Deepika's generation of actresses was the last I was hyped about.

The newer gen does have talent, but too much nepotism and mediocrity's killing the art.

I was not born in that era but I love the 50s/60s golden era actresses the most.

Unreleated, but, this magazine kinda proves that Katrina was less popular than Mallika Sherawat in 2007
