Even though I know, Most of the Forum Members will disagree with me.. I wanted to put forward my opinion after reading so many comments about Toshu getting slapped..

I agree Toshu is wrong, very wrong still he doesn’t deserve a slap..

Toshu always thought highly about Vanraj and he never doubted his friendship with Kavya but it turned out Extra Marital Affair..

He is thoroughly upset and also frustrated with the every day drama after the revelation of EMA..

His wife Kinjal never once tried to understand him.. She is pretty interested in Anupama and his Family than Toshu.. His newly wed life isn’t really something one wishes to have..

And one day..

His Mom came up with a Friend suddenly when he is still trying to cope up with the situations at home..

If he fears, his mom too will someday marry this friend just like Vanraj married Kavya then I must say, his fear is justified..

He did crossed the line and spoke very badly about his mom which is definitely wrong but I can understand his fears..

I don’t encourage physical violence still if slapping someone is a MUST..

How sad that parents think they can slap their kids just bcos they are younger to them.. and can’t speak against adults like Baa as they are older to them..

Toshu is the least among Shah Family who deserves the Slap..

I am sorry but Toshu’s choice of words are not those one would associate with fear but are spoken to humiliate and keep a person down. Words like that are not those that you associate with your mother…. Definitely not one that has been like Anupama and tried and has helped you overcome the challenges you as a child has faced… eg marrying Kinjal.

There is something called RESPECT and that is totally lacking for his mother.

Respect is earned and one shouldn’t get it just because of age and Anupama has earned her respect for everything she has done for Toshu and the family…. She has been selfless.

Agree maybe Kinjal could be a bit more understanding but from her perspective maybe she can see Toshu turning into Vanraj and that is not what she wants in her husband.

Toshu is a grown man not a child that cannot understand the wrongs of his father and the injustice Anupama has been through.

Why he didn’t say the same words to his not so lovely cheater father?

Toshu clearly call anpama selfish and character less . His own son totally Demeaning his mother to aise mein to aise mein anpama toshu ko thappad nahin maregi to aur kya karegi ?

And it is not his fears.. Toshu clearly want to control his mother. He cant see that his mother living her ow life.after vanraj cheating.

A man of 25+ can impose his fears on his mother but he cannot try to understand her?!

He totally deserved that slap. He goes around spewing disgust in his mother's face and she should just try to placate him?! Should continue to take it all, even from him?!! Hell no!

Anupama explained herself more than enough to every to every damn person. Safai galti ki di jati hai. Aur usse di jati hai who wants to understand.

Uske notions are engraved into his soul. You cant compare baa, vanraj and toshu. Anu ne usse janam dia, pala posa, itna bada kar dia. Ab she cannot continue to do so for her whole life!

Vanraj toh trauma dekar side ho lia, but toshu usse kuch nhi kehta aur maa ko trauma de rha hai. Parents jab do hain toh responsibility ek ki kyu hai?

Bacha agar badtameez ho, aur baaton se bhi na manne toh one has to raise hand. And thats coming from a child the same age i.e. me. Anupama commands atleast respect from her children. Aur agar ek grown up man cant even recctify his opinions, thats his fault.

Maybe agar aise hi thappad pehle pade hote, toh he would not have grown up into what he is. He suppresses his mother because he can, but baap ke samne muh band!

After that my mother got marred to somene else. After sone year we get house through development authority. And tere is some problem regarding house registration. So my mother come to know that same classmate is working in development authority as officer. So my mother took help from him aur he also come to my house.also . My mother and me unse aur bhi karte they

He use to ask me aaj breakfast mein kya khaya. I told me. Bread. So he tell me dont eat bread . Bread is not good for health. I also use to talk to him happily

Us class mate ke ghar aane se mere father ko bhi koi problem nahin thi. My father never doubt my mother and he never stop my mother to talk his clasmate and he never stop my mother to talk to any other male.

Very good point .. Indian parents think kids are beneath them even when they are adults and those older are above them forever.

This age related inferiority/superiority complex is ingrained in Indians and needs to go. Slap Baa please before slapping toshu. Why is she only slapping toshu.

In Western countries every one is a “you” theres aap. Hardly anyone does sir sir or maam maam. All dhakoslabaaji in india. Andar se respect aani chahiye logo ko daba kar nai.

I don't think it's fear, it's the typical patriarchal value of considering women as property. Remember Toshu a few episodes ago saying 'maaon ke dost nahi hote'

Even if it is fear, It's not okay to fear that your mother might find someone else! He's an adult after all. He should want his mother to be happy, especially after seeing the terrible way that they've been treated all her life.

If my dad cheated on my mother, and she left him to live by herself or even if she found a person she wanted to live with, I should be fine with it. Especially if she's been nice enough to help me live with the person I chose to marry.

I agree that violence is not okay, but words are also violent. I'd say the slap was far less violent than what Toshu has said and done.
