They were expecting cash bail but court asked for security of 1Lac and the amount was big that's why they needed a surety from someone with no criminal background and solvency certificate from Tehsildar, Juhi's house was near the session's court so they called her

They had to show that the one giving surety (Juhi) had properties worth more than 1lac that's the solvency certificate which they got from Tehsildar

SRK would have carried cash but court didn't give cash bail, so they didn't have to deposit money, Court asked for surety of the amount

Family can be surety AFAIK, lawyer can't but Juhi's home was near and they didn't have time so I guess she was the natural choice with good record
