why Arjun wanted to marry Kajol?

Hi All, im new to the forum..the show is amazing...i have a doubt..

Why Arjun wanted to marry Kajol or any girl from that family? Is there any hidden agenda?As much i see, he never loved kajol.. he just trying to kinda of use her..Did i miss anything? can someone explain pls.

I missed first few epi but Arjun is having an EMA with his sister in law Shreya, and he/they decided on a plan to trap & to marry a naive simple girl who he makes fall in love with him to fool her and still continue EMA so his brother wont suspect & extended family

If there was any other reason businees / family wise I am unaware of it.
