Parikshit fights three guards and is able to defeat them. Malharrao congratulates him and appoints him as Sardar and praises Khanderao's choice. Khanderao says he's always right.
Parikshit come to the temple, meets Renu there and talks to her. Ahilya asks since when Khanderao has been drinking and how did it happen. Parikshit hesitates to answer but Ahilya presses and he tells it has been 4 years. Ahilya is upset, Renu tries to console her.
Rakhuma sees Ahilya crying and wonders what happened.
Rakhuma reaches Dwarkabai and shares that something is going on we need to figure out. Dwarkabai asks Yamoonabai to keep an eye on Khanderao and know his weaknesses.
Ahilya is taking his Mridangam away to her room, Khanderao tries to stop her, she says he doesn't listen to her anymore, she would like to live with her memories and Mridangam, will only give it back when he gives up drinking. Khanderao scolds her how can she refuse to be his wife, he can't give up drinking. He tries to get close but she pushes him.
Precap : Harkubai tells Gautama that Khanderao didn't go to court today. Dwarkabai says does it not feel like Malharrao made a hasty decision by announcing him as his heir.
