PART 3

“isliye toh nhi bataya” as shiva said this he went closer to raavi. She looked confused whereas he looked determinant.

Sh: dekh raavi(calm voice)…….mujhe pta tha ki tune kuch bhi jaanke nhikiya…….tu bas thodi masti kar rhi….tujhe nhi pta tha meri allergy ke baare-

Ra: (cutting him) mujhe nhi pta tha toh ….. tujhe toh pta thana(angrily)……shiva, jab tujhe pta chal gya tha toh kyun khaya tune baingan (tears flowed down)……..mana kar deta ya uth kar chala jata……..khane ki kya jaroorat thi?(scolding him)

Sh: agr main uth ke chala jata ya kuch bhi bolta toh sab ko pta chal jata aur-

Ra: (shouting at him) toh chal jaane deta na…..jayada se jayada kya hota dhara di daatti, suman kaaki 4 baatein sunanti…..isse jayada toh kuch nhi hota…………

Sh: hn nhi hota, paa=nn ye bhi bahut hai(high voice)……….agr maa ko pata chal jata toh tu soch nhi sakti ki kitna naraz hoti voh tujhse, kitna sunati …………(sighs)phele hi tujhse naraz hai maa….main nhi chahta tha ki iske baad vo tujhe aur gussa kare…….tere aur maa ke rishte ko aur nhi kharab karna chahta main…..

Raavi didn’t expect this from him. He was the one who insulted her and now he is the one who is protecting her. she never understood him. she looked at him with guilt and anger.

Ra: (steps towards him)sunati toh sunati…..naraz ho jaati…..jaan toh nhile leti na meri……….(holding his shoulders)tujhe apne saath aisa karne ki kya jarrorat thi……agr jayada halt kharab ho jaati toh……kuch unch neech ho jati toh……….(jerking his shoulder) chal maan liya ki tune tab kuch nhi kaha….lekin jab maine pucha toh tune mujhse bhi jhut bol diya………iska kya justification dega shiva(angrily)

Sh: (hesitant)vo main….vo main tujhe guilty feel nhi karna chahta tha…….main jaanta hu ke tune galti se kiya……isliye main nhi chahta tha ki tu khud ko dosh de…….

Ra: acha, toh isliye tine jhut bol diya, hn?................ab nhiguilty feel ho raha, ab bura nhi lag raha mujh……..tujhe kya laga ki mujhe ptanhi chale ga …………..(scolding him and he is standing dumbfold)shiva jitni bhi excuse tu de rha hai na, ek bhi reasonable nhi hai………tere iss pagaalpan ko koi justify nhi kar sakta…..koi bhi nhi…..

Raavi leaves after finishing. Shiva tries to stop her but she didn’t.

Raavi’s mind was all stuck with thought of guilt and last night scenes were replaying in front of her eyes when shiva was suffering. Her eyes welled up. she continued doing work. Dhara who was observing her from a distance came to her and asked about lunch. She mentions baingan intentionally in her line which raavi fume.

Ra: (in anger without realising) nhi banege baingan……….main toh bikulnhi banaugi…………kabhi nhi banungi……

She angrily leaves the hall making dhara laugh after her departure.Dhara thought that her plan was almost successful.

Elsewhere, shiva is pacing in his room. He saw her guilty, he saw her regretting. And that for no reason, at least not according to him. what to donow. How to make her understand? He need to talk to her. he comes out to find raavi. He search for her in hall and then rushed to kitchen. As he entered kitchen only to get shocked. He found raavi sitting on the floor with a bowl full of green chilli and eating them as if they were toffees. What the hell this girl is doing? Eating chilli when she can’t bear. He ran to her and snatched the bowl.

Sh: (shouting)kya kar rahi hai ye?....akl kya ghaas charne gyi hai teri…….gadhedi chahti kya hai tu?...........

Raavi looked up to him. her eyes were red and her mouth was burning.

Ra: (unable to speak but still angrily) vahi kar rahi hu jo tu kar rahatha kal raat………………(snatches the bowl and again ate 2-3 chillis)

This time shiva’s anger reached the peak. He took the bowl from her threw it on the floor.

Sh: (holding her close to him by her shoulder) mujhse gussa hai toh khud par kyun nikal rahi hai…..khud ko kyun takleef de rhi hai…….pata hai hi jayada mirch bardaash nhi hoti tujhse phir bhi kha rahi hai……….mera gussa mujh par nikal…….maar le, data le….pann khud to aise takleef mat de raavi…………

Ra: (looking into his eyes) hua ehsaas…..kaisa lagta hai jab koi aapki galti ki saza khud ko deta hai, jab vo khud ko takleef deta hai……

His heart skipped a beat for a second. He stared her with shock.

She leaves the kitchen angrily.Shiva still stood in the same position. He is realized that it hurts, really hurts. Now he can feel that how she was feeling then. but this is what we feel when we are concerned. I feel this because I am concerned. Is she also concerned? Yes, of course she is. That’s why she is hurt. His mind was fully occupied by these thoughts. He took milk in a glass and walks out the kitchen to find raavi sitting on sofa panting because of burn in her mouth. Shiva forwarded his glass of milk but she turned her head in refuse. Shiva held her neck from back and made her drink it forcefully. After 2sips, raavi held glass herself and drank. She looked shiva with anger and annoyance.

Sh: (bowing head down) sorry…….mujhe jhoot nhi bolna chahiye tha…….I know meri galti hai………I’m really sorry raavi(looking at her)……. Pann tu aisemeri wajha se khud ko saja mat diya kar………mujhse acha nhi lagta……(a tear rushed out his eyes)

Shiva gets up and leaves. Raavi just looked at him without saying anything. He felt bad . does he care? Is he concerned? Yeshe is. That’s why is hurt. Raavi smiles.

Raavi and shiva, sitting in hall and room respectively, had almost same thought.

Shivi’s thought: jo hota hai haiache ke liye hota hai……….tabiyat kahrab hui, par koi baat nhi, pata toh chalgya ki mujhe teri aur tujhe meri kitni fikr hai………ek isaara mil gya hai, sayad ab bhi umeed hai………..

Both had a big smile on their face. May it was time to open up. They were relaxed.

This baingan kaand was for something good only
