If there is a physically attractive person, I'll do a double-take, check them out, maybe even fantasize about them. But if their personality is off-putting, I probably will lose interest soon enough.

Similarly, I think over time I start finding people attractive even if I didn't find them hot at first. It's because their personality makes them very attractive and appealing.

The thing is you don't have to have a relationship with everyone you sleep with/are attracted to. And you don't have to sleep with/be attracted to everyone you have a relationship with. (I am using relationship broadly here - it includes friendships, flirty friendships, romantic friendships, and everything that falls in the fuzzy line between friendship and a sexual/romantic relationship)
