PART - 8

Raavi sat in her room with her laptop.

She searched

How to propose a guy?

Flowers, cards, letters.there were so many options.she got confused.suddenly she remembered.she saw the scene of friends where monica proposes chandler.should she do something like that? That has been her favourite scene in the whole series.

But at the same time she wanted to do something original.but shouldn't the guy propose first? But that sada hua kaddu and romantic? Yeh to hone se raha.she has to take the first step.maybe she should drop hints first.

She got tensed after seeing so many options.she closed the laptop and sat grumpily on her bed biting her nails.what should she do?

She finally thought of a plan.

Shiva will go to the mandi today to bring goods for the shop.he will come late at night and stock the storeroom.this gave her the entire day to bring her plan into action.

" Kaka, aap mujhe storeroom ki chaabi de sakte hai aaj ke liye? " Raavi asked

" Han Han beta.kyu nahi.par tujhe chaabi kyu chahiye? " Kaka said

" Kuch kaam tha. Jab shiva chaabi maange to aap keh dena ki raavi hai store mai " she said

Kaka nodded smiling.

She wore a sleeveless red bodycon dress that ended below her mid thigh.she left her hair open.after making sure that she was looking perfect,she made her way out hiding from her maasi.she has never worn a one piece before and was feeling a bit conscious, but it's shiva after all.she has always been comfortable with him and she wanted to wear something different than the usual kurti or salwar. She put on her heels and made her way to the Store.

She opened the store and made her way in.she had decorated the store room with red balloons.she lighted a few candles to make the ambience better.she had made Shiva's favourite aloo Gobi ki sabzi and paratha for dinner.

After checking all the arrangements, she waited anxiously for him. She was nervous but excited at the same time.how would shiva react?

Shiva came into the store in his usual vest and shirt.he came inside the storeroom to see her waiting for him.he saw her.

Raavi smiled at him.she came forward and took his hands bringing him inside.

" Shiva, mujhe tujhse kuch kehna hai " she said

Shiva crossed his hands over his chest.

" Mai sun raha hu " he replied

Raavi was a bit scared seeing his response.his eyes had a certain darkness today.he had seen mischief in them, anger, concern but not this.maybe she was overthinking.she brushed aside all negative thoughts and continued.

"Tu sahii tha shiva. Mere aur Dev ke beech kabhi kuch thaa hi nahi.woh mujhse pyar nahi karta, par mujhe ab realise hua ki mai bhi usse pyar nahi karti " she said

" Accha hai.ab nikal yahaan se.mujhe bahut kaam hai " he said

Raavi's face fell.why was he reacting this way? Didn't he notice all the decorations? Didn't he notice her?

" Shivaa.baat sirf woh nahi hai.mujhe tujhse aur bhi kuch kehna hai " she said fidgeting with the end of her dress.

Shiva looked straight into her eyes.

"Jaldi bol.mere paas puri raat nahi hai " he said

Raavi took a deep breath.

" Mujhe yeh realise hua ki mai dev se nahi tujhse..."

Shiva cut her off

" Tujhe dev se pyar hai, nahi hai, tujhe kya realise hua inn sab baato se mujhe koi fark nahi padta." He said angrily.

" Tujhe ho kya gaya hai shiva? Meri puri baat to sun.itna gussa kyu ho raha hai? Mai yahaan itni raat ko tere saamne iss tarah khadi hu, pura room decorate kiya hai, iska kuch matlab hoga na " raavi said almost tearing up.

Shiva remembered the bet.so this is what she is upto.he couldn't believe that this girl could stoop so low for a stupid bet.

" Matlab to hai.chal thk hai.tu apni baat puri kar le.mai sunn raha hu " he said

Seeing him react this way made raavi more nervous.how can she confess her feelings when he was behaving this way? Maybe he is in a bad mood today.she didn't want such an important moment of her life spoiled.

" Kuch nahi kehna mujhe.mai jaa rahi hu.tu apna kaam kar " she turned around and raised her hand to take out the keys from the keyholder to give to shiva when her zip snapped open.she was shocked, the zip of the dress came upto her waist.she immediately dropped the keys and tried to close the zip with her hands.

Shiva saw this and turned sideways.he took off his shirt and covered her with it.she looked up to see him not looking at her.he has always been a gentleman.hasnt he?

" Thank you " she whispered

Shiva's anger resurfaced.

He held her shoulders and pulled her closer.

" Ab tu inn harkato par utar ayi.itna neeche gir gayi tu? " He said

" Yeh tu kya keh rahaa hai shiva? " She asked confused.

"Tujhe kya laga? Tu iss tarah adhi Raat ko aise kapde utaregi mere saamne aur mai behek jaunga? Aisa insaan samajhti hai tu mujhe? " He said with rage in his eyes.

Raavi pushed him away.

" Bass shiva.ek aur shabd nahi.meri zip tut gayi.isme meri kya galti? Main aaj raat hum dono ke liye special banana chahti thi.isliye yeh dress pehni, tere liye tera favourite khana banaya, yeh room decorate kiya par tu jabse aaya hai mujhse badtameezi se baat kiye jaa raha hai " she said as a sob escaped her lips

"Special? Mere liye? Kyu? " He said

" Kyuki mai tujhse pyar karti hu shiva " she blurted out.

Shiva laughed hearing her.

Raavi was shocked.why was he laughing? Did he hear her right?

" Tu mujhse pyar karti hai? Kal tak to mai tera hone wala devar tha.aaj tu mujhse pyar karti hai?" He said sarcastically.

Raavi came to him and held his cheeks.

" Shiva, mai yehi to tujhe samjhane ki koshish kar rahi hu. Us din tune dukaan Mai mujhse pucha tha ki mujhe kyu dev se baat na ho to fark nahi padta par tu door hota hai to bechaini hoti hai.us sawaal ka jawab mujhe ab mila hai.mai tujhe chahti hu, shayad hamesha se.par mai ek number ki gadhedi hu na.isliye khud ki feelings ko pehchaan nahi payi " she confessed crying.

Shiva looked into her innocent,hazel tear filled eyes .those eyes can never lie. He softened for a second, but he remembered her conversation and his anger returned.

He jerked away her hands and held her shoulders again.

" Bahut accha natak kar leti hai tu.ek pal ke liye to maine maan liya ki tu.." shiva said

" Natak? " Raavi whispered in disbelief.

" Pata hai raavi.mai tujhe bahut Masoom samajhta tha.teri har harkat ko tera bachpana samajhta tha. Par sach to yeh hai tu ek superficial ladki hai jo apne sapno ke duniya mai rehti hai, jo logo ko unke kapde aur shakal se judge karti hai aur tu sabko apni tarah samajhti hai.pyar rooh se hota hai, jism se nahi " he said, his anger had turned into hurt.

He left her and took a step back.

" Tujhe kya laga? Tu iss tarah ayegi aur mai phass jaunga? " Shiva said looking at her from top to bottom.

"Woh kya kaha tha tune? Yu Pata legi mujhe" he said snapping his fingers.

" Mujhe jaise junglee ko tujh jaisi hoor pari ke kareeb ane ka mauka milega to mai kaise jaane dunga? Nahi ? Yehi socha tha na tune? " Shiva said

Raavi was feeling humilated.she clutched the shirt of shiva close to herself and covered herself completely with it, her hands folded over her chest.tears were continuosly flowing from her eyes.she couldn't stay here a moment longer.she felt so small.how could he accuse her of something so cheap? He knew her from childhood, didn't he? She ran outside as fast as she could.

Shiva wanted to stop her.he felt bad seeing her tears but he couldn't help it.he went outside following her.he walked behind her from a distance to make sure she reached home safe.

Raavi collapsed on the bed and cried clutching her pillow. She had thought multiple scenarios in her head, but she had not imagined that shiva would humilate her this way.

She took off his shirt and held it close to her chest.

Kyu kiya tune aisa shiva? Tujhe mujhse pyar nahi hai, yeh sunne ke liye taiyar thi mai.par tune to hamari dushmani ke rishte ka bhi lihaaz nahi kiya.
