For me, lying is worse than shouting. At least it’s on your face when you lie, it creates more cracks in a relationship. One lie leads to the other and then after a certain point you can’t undo it. At least after shouting when you apologise it still helps the hurt.

They turned the whole crime and situation violent because without this being violent, bc as you said, there was no way to get Raghav to change his ways. Simple tax audits wouldn't be enough to change Raghav - most business men just skirt around the issue of backtaxes and keep it moving.

Essentially, they got caught up in the fact that they wanted his crimes to remain white collar to be consistent with his established moral principles, but also be severe enough that it warrants police encounters, and that kinda doesn't fit together.
