I thought her marriage to the Canadian guy wasn’t valid as he was married

May be for her son she is wearing.

Probably for her son and society, people will question why a single women with a child is living alone and atleast with the manglasutral, people won't have much question, she is married and lives with her son which is common especially if the dad works in the city.

Right wearing it for her son. Buzzo n sim are not married but Buzzo have candy his name otherwise place like fareedkot she is not living peacefully.
