That isn't meaning to say that your relationships are objects ) versus the old concept of wealth including living beings as well. Kanya Daan is the giving away of the greatest wealth,I.e., the daughter. That's because the bride goes to the husband's family and if it were in the reverse (as some member has pointed out in some families in TN), I would agree for Kanya Daan to be replaced with Putra Daan.

You are really crossing the line here by stating that I am happy to be treated as an object, attacking women everywhere and so on. If you consider yourself to be a feminist in any way, please know from me that you don't even have the basic compassion to respond properly, forget about understanding the plight of women.

Sincere question to you: do you object to women no longer being referred as a form of wealth? As in, do you still want society to think of them as wealth, or not?

This is not an attack, but an attempt to understand your take on this.

Actually no. Sanskrit text and Hindi are not the same. The following is Sanskrit. Does it look like Hindi to you?

Also, Kanya Daan has nothing to do with Kanya raashi.😆

Now I definitely believe in the fact that you are upto some buffoonery here.

Sanskrit is a super set of Hindi. Heard about Devanagari?

Just to clarify I don’t consider myself as feminist at all. There’s a lot I disagree with about the lot.

Dear God! Not again!

Sanskrit has no accepted native script. Sanskrit in Kashmir is written in Sharada script. In other parts of India it is in Devanagri but only since modern times. Sharada script manuscripts are older. No native script for Sanskrit because it has been lost in time.

Your claim is like writing Hindi in English script and claiming they have the same script.

Something is very wrong here, either you don’t understand what you’re saying yourself or just plain ignorant. I’m not the one comparing, I’m against the whole comparison. What was your point of reminding us that livestock are wealth and so are girls?? What were you trying to accomplish with that comment?? If I’m having a hard time understanding your comment please make me understand why you brought up cows?? Everyone knows livestock are wealth. Here women/girls being considered some thing to donate is the topic of discussion. What’s livestock and wealth gotta do with any of what’s being discussed if you were not comparing. Just to defend your comment you’re not only confusing yourself but confusing others as well.

Do you believe that humans and wealth are mutually exclusive ? That wealth can never include a living being?

Thank you for trying to understand my POV. No, I do not object to women not being considered wealth any longer.

I felt since the ancients considered daughters as wealth , they weren't trying to be derogatory to them.

Nobody's interp of the same.

Citations straight from text please.

I cam tell you you're not going to find any. There isn't. Only wishful thinking.

I can find truck loads of citations, but the point is should I waste time on someone who has a straight A belief that everyone else but they are wrong?

I found you a post graduate Indic history page which is derived from various citations. Do you think they wrote fairy tales in History without any proofs?
