There was some discussion about saree talk between Kavya and Anupama and if it was required.

Sometimes the creator s of the soap use exaggeration to bring out the difference between the thought process of characters. We have since Anujs entry Vanrajs mind playback the way he has treated her.

They have to high light the difference in the two women as well. Kavya is obsessed with her clothes and appearance. That is what she thinks builds an auro around her. Whether it is while planning her wedding or stepping out of her bed room in night clothes or her arguing with Her V why clothes in the style P2 and kinjal wore was not okay when she did.

We had the conversation between Vanya even in Anujs office.

Kavya derided Anypamas saree ans her looks. While Baaba Yaga is forever dressed up with her binocs Anupama mostly wore sarees and carried herself with grace.

Clothes have to serve the propose of adding dignity and comfort to the wearer. I head a corporate unit and an NGo with a 80 percent women work force. My boss is a powerful lady and asked if we would like a uniform we said no but would appreciate guidelines. She said any dress that doesn't high light the female anatomy. We adhere to it. I for one always wear only sarees. Depending on the season it is cotton or silks.

I represent my organisation in India and abroad and silk sarees are what I pick with apt accessories for the occasion. For the reunion except the hair do I loved everything about the way she carried herself.

One can be in the latest fashionwear and still have regressive thoughts. One can be gracefully draped in a saree and be extremely progressive in outlook.

A few changes here and there in the type of sarees or Suits the PH picks for the FL will be good.

The Futichar taunt was unnecessary. However as I said in the beginning it hightens the difference in the perspective of the two.

Thanks for sharing dear .

I agree with you . In the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force , you will notice the dress for women are same as the guys …Trousers n shirts .

But for evening functions where all guys wear suits ..women officers are given an option to wear trouser suits OR SAREES

Salwar suits are not for formal occasions .

Guests and invitees are exempted.

Thank you for the update. Yes it is an item of clothing draped differently around the country. Very dignified.

I Dont wear sarees when I at my home or market but suppose there is function or party and if there is confusion what dress should I wear then best option in I choose saree. Saree kisi bhi mauka ko pehno koi khuch nahin wala kitne bhi dress ya fashion aa jayein but saree ka fashion kabhi nahin jaayega aur yeh dignty ko represnt karta

Waise khud mujhe saree pehane mein dikkat aati hai. Main abhi bhi doosre ki help. Se saree pehante hoon

If anyone use old method to do thing I Dont call it regressive I call it traditional

Wearing saree cannot call regressive but it is called traditional

Saree is such dress where women can freely wear either on informal or formal function or party

I call regressive for eg when it is said only women duty is to do house hold chores, men log koi ghar ka kaam nahin karenge such type of thinking I call regressive

Yup regressive or progressive thought ka dress se koi lena dena nahin hai

I wear both western and Indian sarees

Usually for personal occassions like fam functions and friends functions where usually Indian wear is preferred I wear saree. I am not very comfortable in heavy lehengas and salwar suits.

I do wear simple sarees atleast once a week to work also usually Monday or Fri

For office parties or it's due to festival even there I prefer trad saree. Only if it's a evening party I stick to stylish trousers and a fancy top.

I do like wearing summer dress , jeans , shorts in casual ocassions with fam and close friends.

I've never worn a sari but I think they can be beautiful

But just like any clothing theres a time and place to wear it

I dont wear my sweats with my messy hair to the office. Nor would I arrive in an elaborate pant suit. It's business casual so I dress accordingly

That's all audience is wanting to see. Some variety in Anu outfits...don't expect to ever see her in a dress/outfits like Devika but she can wear saris that are most apt for the occasion i.e. Office sari vs home sari vs formal event sari. They are so versatile that they can be draped in so many ways

You often hear the phrase "dress for the part"

Well Anu has been dressing as a Sanskari Bahu, MIL, abused wife and mother. Now it's time she dress like a business partner. Dress for your destiny Anu!

I love sarees... I think they make you look and feel pretty. For me sarees are always for special occasions like family weddings and stuff but my mum and aunts back home are comfortable wearing them all the time even to work.

I agree with silvermoonlight there can be different sarees for work and home and like moonwearer said in her post I think the makers are exaggerating to draw parallels between the characters and their thoughts.

I love sarees! I wear them only on special occasions but I think they look beautiful on all women!

I would have not liked it if writers had changed Anupama’s outfit to a salwar suddenly because we don’t change our fashion choices overnight.

But I do prefer some variety in the kind of sarees she wears - more colourful sarees, fancy sarees, cotton sarees - based on the occasion.

Her hairstyle and earrings can also be changed.

Yes there are ways in which the saree selection can change.

I think the writers are presenting the difference between kavya and anupama through the dressing.

Sarees that Rakhee Dave wears looks nice on her and suits her personality. Anupama can't carry that. There are sarees that suit us and the selection is individualistic.

I get many sarees as gifts and I consiously wear them to respect folks sentiments. But my colleagues can make out which sarees are gifts. I definitely think sarees are versatile. I do wear other clothes.

Have patience...she will change. In Malayalam version, her getup is changed now. She has switched from cotton house sarees to silk sarees with open hair and wear office earrings too.

So, here also they will change it with time.
