Hi all, I am not new to the forum but I have been a silent reader. Today's episode was all sorts of regressive and I just couldn't stop myself from voicing out how frustrating it is to see such stereotypes perpetuated.
1) Why the hell does Anupama have to justify her actions when Kavya asks her questions? I am waiting to here one dialogue, just one - on the lines of "It's none of your business what Anuj and I do, we're not answerable to any of you, so mind your own business" - but that just never happens!
2) Also, where is the old Kinjal these days - the Kinjal who had taken a stand for Anupama when Vanraj's ema was revealed, the Kinjal who used to back answer Vanraj and Toshu every time they said something against Anupama, the Kinjal who said she'll not stay in the same house as Vanraj?
Kinjal rarely opens her mouth against Vanraj's taunts now. Guess she has also lost that courage!
3) Why do they have to show Anupama as a superwoman? She wakes up early in the morning - cooks breakfast and lunch for the whole family, makes prasad for Lord Krishna, makes snacks for Baa Bapuji, makes burgers for all the other losers who just know how to eat, goes to the school and takes cooking classes, then goes to the dance school to take classes, also makes some special dishes at Vanraj's cafe, comes back home and makes dinner, puts everyone to bed and now also going to work on a new partnership......Still she has time for all this bhaashan....
I am a woman and I hardly have time in a day to balance between a full-time job and some basic household chores. I hate that this kind of woman is shown as the perfect woman.
No man in the Shah house does anything including Vanraj, Toshu, Bapuji, Mamaji and Even Samar. I might have seen Bapuji cutting veggies once and Samar doing odd jobs once in a while, that's all.
Toshu is so useless that he can't even get a glass of water by himself. He asked Kavya for water when the jug was right next to him.
I might skip a few episodes till the show becomes progressive!
