I think superstar is far fetched, yes a star but not a superstar in same sense as Katrina, kareena lol. and 150 crore wasn't a big deal in 2015. She doesn't have a movie in the top 3 grossers of the year. I heard some of her fan's started comparing her to sridevi madhuri lol. Sridevi had Nagina which was the second highest grossing film of the year in female centred role, second to her movie karma which was multistarrthen she had Tohfa which was female orientated role with Jaya Prada. She can't even compare herself to Bipasha basu as a star which bipasha delivered Raaz second highest grosser of 2002 😂

As someone said she's self-proclaimed super, media star, controversies keeps are in the limelight.

No female actor in Bollywood has box-office appeal. I find that unfortunate. But Kangana has delivered successful movies or great movies despite not being one of Bollywood's "chosen ones."

That should be commended.

Vidya Balan has been doing that but top 3 movies???? not even single movie in top 3.

Uri earned 250+ crs, nobody calls yami or vickey a superstar 😆

She is definitely a chosen one of the govt but not for her work onscreen. Her films are disasters since 2015 but her budget is shooting up. Where is the money coming from?

I wrote "Is". Present tense.

Kajol was a Superstar. Aishwarya, Deepika, Katrina nope!

She was never a super star. She has a few hits to her credit. The audience liked her work and some of her movies very much. She is not a good dancer but good at acting. She is not that beautiful but overall looks fine.

I honestly think she could’ve been legendary and iconic if she had just kept her mouth closed after TWMR

In her case her bad attitude is the reason why she’s not a real superstar. Otherwise she does have it all “on screen”

No, actually.. vyjanyhimala was the first and only female superstar in Hindi Cinema.

Sridevi and Madhuri were big stars but not like Vyjanyhimala.
