Is that stardom? Queen succeeded due to script and music. TWMR had sequel factor and music as a reason for its opening and Kangana's performance sustained it in further weeks.

Otherwise she has never been a superstar.

She is also incapable of doing different kind of roles. Only good at frustrated, angry, depressed roles which are her forte. Or a bit of feisty roles.

She has no knack of pulling off all genres.

Superstar has not even got more followers on social media despite daily drama and antics online.

She is superstar only in her head and imagination of BJP IT cell.

Is superstar really a relevant term anymore? I feel like the world has changed since the 90s/2000s era and that level of hype around a particular actor just doesn't exist. Maybe because of over exposure from social media but I can't think of anyone that's a superstar with the kind of popularity that ppl like Amitabh/Sridevi (among others) had back in the day. Even in Hollywood I can't think of anyone that's a superstar in the current day era. Mostly its the pop stars that carry that kind of appeal nowadays.

I think Kangana would qualify as a "star". Probably not the most popular one. But she is a decent actress and has had some successful movies. Some of which were without a requisite male star which is not an unimpressive feat in such a male dominated industry. She does say a lot of controversial things some I agree with and some piss me off. But I don't think her pissing me off should discount her "relative" success.
