So who's the genuine female superstar then? As unfortunate as it is, India hasn't produced a legit female superstar since Madhuri.

Kangana has a 150+ crore blockbuster and starred in what is arguably the best Hindi movie of last decade in Queen.

She mayn't have the pull of the Khans. But she's someone who's genuinely been successful over the past decade.

No female actor in Bollywood has box-office appeal. I find that unfortunate. But Kangana has delivered successful movies or great movies despite not being one of Bollywood's "chosen ones."

That should be commended.

What’s ‘chosen ones’? She said everything that cannot be said but is still getting movies served on her platter. I don’t know which ‘chosen ones’ can get away with the kind of potty mouth she is able to get away with.

And coming to her delivering hits, all 3 hit movies of her have been slow word of mouth hits which means they ran on the strength of the content but not because of her presence in the movie. The fact that the movies which released right after each of these hits were super duds confirms the fact.
