Gosh! I sound like a harping lost trumpet today where I'm trying to remember so many scenes & understand where was what understood.
I don't think he was being rude/condescending in the scene to Pallavi cos if that was the case Pallavi would have also felt so. She didn't cos he stated that your business and mine're different which is true, they are different.
NTM, Pallavi's DSE - a Saree Shop was running in humongous losses unlike Raghav's Jayati Jewellers so Pallavi can try to explain how she handled things in her shop when a sticky situation arose but the point remains - she wasn't a really successful businnesswoman. And Raghav instead of hearing the whole event & stating the same line at the end of her story just said it before she even starts.
Then Pallavi also stated that she would try to understand his ways - But, looking at how this might play out - I don't think she will.
Let's see.
By the way, welcome to Pallavi's AT, please excuse me if what I typed sounds weird. Just in a hurry to explain my points before I have to be Gayab again😆
Thank you for the welcome, lol you sound like me, making cameo appearances and then leaving without notice😆
I agree that Pallavi is not a successful businesswoman, and honestly the way she wants to run a business with honesty and ideals and ethics in this dog-eat-dog world, I don't see her becoming very successful in a real life context ever (but ofc in television anything can happen 😆). Raghav knows what it's like to build an empire from the ground up hence he's left certain inhibitions about morals and right/wrong long back as long as it benefits him. In fact, I'd say the fact that he even cares for the courier boys and their families is a LOT because in the real world, powerful people usually don't give a rat's ass to what happens to the folks at the ground level.
I think when Raghav makes these somewhat misogynistic comments towards Pallavi he doesn't do it on purpose, and he has no ill intention behind this which Pallavi too understands (hence she never takes it personally). As I mentioned earlier, it's the provider-protector-caretaker-Lord side of him that believes the wives shouldn't meddle into their husbands' business. I just personally find these comments making me go "Please Raghav not this again"😆😆
Bold: This is one of my concerns in this track. I've been going on and on about how I DON'T want RR too become all white Tide ki safedi ujala hi ujala because I'll sadly have to stop watching (we've got more than enough goody/ideal male characters on ITV atm) Pallavi said she'd try to understand RR's pov/his way of doing business even if she doesn't agree with it all, and the recent incidents show that Raghav needs to rethink certain business moves as well since his life and priorities have shifted slightly post family and marriage--this means BOTH of them need to take a step forward and find a middle ground. I'm not sure how/IF that's even going to happen though🤔
